- Qualifying Exam: The basic eligibility criteria for Ph.D. courses will be qualified Master’s or equivalent degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education (or 10+2+5) from a recognized University.
- Minimum Marks: Pass the above qualifying exam with 55% marks.

| Chemistry | Pass Master’s degree in chemistry/Chemical Sciences and any other related areas. Candidates wishing to apply for the fields of Physical Chemistry should have studied mathematics at +2 level and of theoretical Chemistry should have studied allied mathematics at B.Sc. level. For organic and inorganic chemistry fields, mathematics at +2/B.Sc level is not mandatory with 55% of marks. |
