Based on merit, admission to three-year diploma courses in Engineering and Technology will be provided. There is no entrance exam conducted for admission to Admission Polytechnic. From 2024, the exam has been scrapped. Candidates qualified will get admission in various government & Private colleges of Assam state.

Assam Polytechnic (PAT) 2026 Correction

Correction facility for Assam Polytechnic 2026 will be provided through online mode. Candidates will be able to make corrections in submitted application from 12th to 13th May 2026. 

Initially, candidates will be required to use their login credentials to access the form. Applicants are suggested to complete with the registration procedure before the deadline, as there will be no extension made after then. 

Assam Polytechnic (PAT) 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Before applying for admission, candidates must go through the eligibility criteria: 

• Nationality: Applying candidates must be an Indian Citizen & a permanent resident of Assam. 
• Qualification: To be eligible, candidates must have completed their 12th level or equivalent exam from any recognized board. 
• Subjects: In qualifying exam, candidates must have Mathematics & Science as mandatory subjects. 
• Marks: Applying candidates must qualify 12th with 40% marks (35% marks for SC & 33% marks for ST candidates). 
• Age Criteria: To apply, candidates must have completed 16 years as on 31st December 2026. There will be no maximum age limit criteria.

• Visit the website of Assam Polytechnic online (Link is given above). 
• On the homepage, press the “New Registration” button. 
• Start with the registration procedure by entering the details such as name, DOB, email ID, mobile number & the captcha. 
• Press the “Register” button after registering yourself. 
• Enter the received OTP on the registered mobile number & submit it. 
• The registration number will be displayed after submitting the OTP. 
• Now login using allotted details & start filling the application form. 
• Fill the details such as personal, communication, academic qualification & other required information. 
• After form filing, upload the required documents such as photograph & signature in prescribed format.
