DIT University Scholarship 2024: Eligibility & Types of Scholarship

DIT University was established in 2013 by the Government of Uttarakhand vide Act No. 10 of 2013. The DIT University and Degrees awarded by the University are recognized by the UGC, New Delhi. In NIRF 2020 Engineering Ranking, the DIT University bags 129th Rank and has been placed amongst the League of Top Engineering Institutions across India.

This university is also a member of Association of Indian Universities. DIT University, Dehradun receives QS-IGAUGE ’DIAMOND’ rating for overall excellence and becomes 2nd in India to be awarded with a Diamond rating in Faculty quality. In Uttarakhand, this university is the first university amongst 12 other institutions at National Level to receive QS IGAUGE E-LEAD Certification for our innovation excellence in online teaching with a whooping score of 145/150.

DIT University is affiliated with the Association of Indian Universities and has also received recognition from reowned organization like the Nepal Engineering Council, the Council of Architecture (COA) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

Merit Based Scholarship:

This merit based Scholarship is applicable for Undergraduate (UG) programmes only. check below for more details.

For First Year:

The merit based scholarship will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in identified subjects at the time of admission. This Scholarship is applicable on the Tuition fee of the respective year of study.

For Subsequent/ Continuing Years:

The top 10% of the students in each UG programmes will be eligible for merit scholarship on the basis of the CGPA obtained after each completed year of study. Scholarship is applicable on the tuition fee of the respective year of study,

• Those top 10% of total candidates who appeared in final tern examination will be able for the scholarship.
• Candidates who clear all the papers in single attempt without any back paper, UFM and Indiscipline case are eligible for this scholarship.

Merit Based Scholarship Policy For Academic Excellence

Branch Toppers – BTech. MBA, MCA LE  – (Scholarship for continuing years on Performance Basis)

Toppers – BArch – (Scholarship for continuing years on performance basis)

Topper – BDes, BPharm, BA(H), B.Sc(H), BCA and Brach Toppers of Diploma Programmes

Uttarakhand/ Other Himalayan States Scholarship

This scholarship is applicable to both UG and PG programmes. 26% of scholarship will be granted on tuition fee to permanent residents of Uttarakhand/ Other Himalayan States. Total 40% seats are reserved in all UG/ PG programmes.

Candidates must have a valid Domicile Certificate in original at the time of reporting of counselling/ admission to claim this Uttarakhand/ Other Himalayan States Scholarship.

Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship For Girl Students

This scholarship are only applicable for Undergraduate (UG) programmes for the admission. The scholarship of 10% on tuition fee is applicable for girl students in first year of UG courses. Given below are the conditions for scholarship:

• Candidates must be scored at least 80% & above in Class 10th & 12th to avail the scholarship.
• The percentages for scholarship will remain same for all categories of candidates of admission.

Note: To continue this Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji scholarship for Girl Students, candidates should maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and above every year, without any back, UFM and Indiscipline case.

Scholarship For Children of Defence Personnel:

This Defence Personnel scholarship is applicable only for undergraduate (UG) programmes.

Scholarship for Children of Defence Personnel (Serving/ Retired)

The Children of Defence Personnel in first year of the UG programmes is applicable for the 5% of scholarship on tuition fee. Candidates must have a valid certificate/ documents as under in original at the time of reporting for counselling/ admission for claiming the scholarship.

In case of Serving Defense Personnel –

• A Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen/ A certificate issued by the Unit Head/ C.O of the servicemen
• Serviceman’s Aadhaar card
• Student’s Aadhaar card

In case of Retired Defense Personnel –

• Discharge Certificate of the Servicemen
• Serviceman’s Aadhaar card
• Student’s Aadhaar card

Scholarship For Children of Defence Personnel (Martyrs Defence Personnel/ Gallantry Medals Awardess)

The 5% of scholarship on tuition fee is applicable for children of Martyrs Defence Personnel in first year of the UG programmes. To claim this scholarship, candidates must carrying a valid certificate/ documents as under in original at the time of reporting for counselling/ admission:

• Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen/ A certificate issued by the Unit Hear/ C.O. of the servicemen
• Aadhaar card of the father/ Mother
• Certificate of Gallantry Medal Award
• Aadhaar card of the candidate

Scholarship on the Basis of the Performance in Sports

The university provide this scholarship for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. As per the sports scholarship policy, the scholarship amount is applicable on tuition fee only for first year students.

The students of second years onward will be eligible for scholarship subject to participation in International/ National/ State Level sports activities subject to approval from competent authority.

DIT University offers various courses in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses in the field of engineering, management, pharmacy, science, computer application and more. Programs like B.Tech., M.Tech., B.Arch., B.Arch., B.Des., BA (Hons), MCA, M.Des., PhD, etc are some of the programmes available at DIT university.

The admission to these courses is based on the eligibility criteria. Admission in B.Tech. program is given on the basis of JEE score. For MBA program, CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ UKSEE/ DUET exam score is considered by the university.
