UPES Eligibility Criteria 2026
Know UPES eligibility criteria for various courses below:
For B.Tech:
- School of Computer Science: Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in 10th/ 12th and 50% marks in 12th each in PCM subjects.
- School of Advanced Engineering: Students should have obtained 50% marks in 10th/ 12th and 50% marks in 12th each in PCM subjects.
- School of Health Sciences & Technology: Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in 10th/ 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and English as major subjects in 12th.
- B.Tech (Mathematics and Computing program): Candidates must have passed their 10th & 12th with minimum 70% marks overall and each in PCM in 12th level.
- Selection: Admissions in UPES Engineering courses are accepted via UPESEAT/ JEE Main/ Board merit/ CUET/ SAT (score of 1040 or above).
For MBA:
- Candidates should have done Graduation from a recognised university in any stream.
- Students should have obtained minimum of 50% marks in 10th, 12th & Graduation.
- Selection: Selection in UPES MBA is done via UPESMET or other national level tests followed by Interview.
- Non-Exam Selection Criteria: Those fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria can skip appearing in UPESMET. Such students will be called directly for GD & PI if they qualify with below scores:
- CAT / XAT with minimum 50 percentile
- MAT/ CMAT with minimum 70 percentile
- GMAT with minimum 400 or above score
- NMAT with minimum 120 or above score
- CUET PG with minimum 165 or above score
UPES Dehradun Admission Procedure 2026
Admission procedure of UPES 2026 will be organised through online mode. On the basis of entrance exam such as UPESEAT, UPESMET, UPESPAT, UPESDAT & ULSAT for securing 80% of seats.
Based on various national level exam scores such as JEE Mains, CLAT, CUET, CAT and other board merit scores, Upto 20% seats will be offered to the candidates.
UPES Entrance Exams 2026
University is also conducts its own entrance exam to provide admission into various courses at UPES. UPESEAT exam is conducted to provide admission into B.Tech. courses. UPESMET exam is held for management courses. For Law, UPES conducts ULSAT (LLB 5 year); UPESPAT for B.Pharm (4 year) and UPESDAT for design courses.
Registered candidates will be able to appear in the entrance exam to get admission into various courses. Exam will be held through online mode. To solve the exam, 2 hours will be given to the candidates. Those qualified candidates in entrance exam will be eligible to participate in further counselling procedure.
UPES Merit List 2026
Result for UPES 2026 will be released via online mode, no other method will be provided to access the result. It will be released on the website individually for every appeared candidates. Aspirants will be able to access the result by providing the correct credentials such as application number and registered mobile number on the website of UPES.
Result will be prepared on the basis of the performance of candidates in entrance exam. University will also prepare a separate merit list for those candidates who appeared in other national/ state level exam.
UPES 2026 Admission
UPES 2026 Admission is both merit and entrance exam based. It offers over 20+ programmes at UG, PG and PhD levels in various field of Engineering, Management, Science, Business & more. UPES Dehradun also conducts its own entrance exam such as UPESEAT, UPESMET, ULSAT, UPESDAT, etc.
National level exam scores such as JEE Main, MAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT, GMAT, SAT, CUET, etc. will also be accepted to provide admission. Candidates will attain the rank and shortlisted for the admission based on their ranks obtained in entrance exam.
Post selection students, students will be issued a provisional offer letter to pay the acceptance fee for blocking/ reserving their seats before the last date. Seats will be allocated to the students based on the merit list. First preferences will be given to those candidates who will score higher in entrance exam. Rounds such as Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) will be there in counselling.
