- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens to apply for admission.
- Age Limit: To apply, the minimum age of candidates must be 14 years as on 1st August 2026 for all trades. For Driver Cum Mechanic Trade, the minimum age of candidates must be 18 years.
- Domicile: A domicile certificate of Himachal Pradesh is mandatory to apply.
- Qualification: Candidates must complete their 8th or 10th level qualifying examination from a recognized board.
- Subject: In the qualifying exam, one must have subjects such as Mathematics & science to apply.
- Physical Fitness: To apply for admission, it will be mandatory to have both a medical & physical fitness certificate

Merit list of Himachal Pradesh ITI 2026 will be released through online mode. Candidates will have to visit the website to access the merit list. In August 2026, one will be able to view the merit list. Candidates will be required to use their login credentials such as email ID & Password to view the merit list.
Based on the marks secured by the candidates in their qualifying exam, the merit list of Himachal Pradesh ITI 2026 will be prepared. A separate merit list will be published by the authority based on 8th or 10th level. Those qualified candidates in the merit list will be eligible to participate in counselling rounds.
