IISC 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Students must satisfy the IISC Eligibility Criteria 2026 before applying for admission: 

For UG Courses:

• Qualifications: One should have qualified 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
• Marks: In the qualifying exam, a minimum of 60% marks must be obtained by candidates to be eligible.
• Subjects: It will be compulsory to pass the qualifying exam with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 
• Scorecard: Applicants must possess a valid scorecard of JEE Main/NEET UG/JEE Advanced/IISER as of 1st August 2026.
• Appearing: Aspirants appearing for their class 12th examination in 2026 will be eligible to apply.

For PG Courses:

• Qualifications: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering/ technology or a 4 year B.Sc degree to be eligible.
• Aspirants holding an MS/MBA degree or MBBS/ MD/ B.Pharm or B.E/ B.Tech degree will be eligible to apply.
• Additionally, applicants with a PG degree in economics, commerce, management, psychology, geography, science, computer science/application or operations research will also be eligible to apply.
• Scorecard: A valid GATE/NET/NET JRF/GPAT scorecard dated on or before 1st August 2026 will be considered for admission eligibility.

IISC 2026 Rank List

IISc Rank List 2026 will be prepared separately for candidates based on their category and performance in various national level examination. The rank list will be released via online mode in the month of June 2026 for both UG & PG courses.

Candidates who qualify in the entrance examinations and get shortlisted in the merit list will be called for an interview based on their ranks. Seats will be allocated to applicants according to their performance in exam and the number of seats available.

IISC 2026 Cut Off

IISC Cut Off 2026 will be prepared separately for various categories and courses via online mode. The cut off marks will serve as the minimum qualifying criteria for admission into UG, PG, and Research courses at IISC Bangalore.
