Delhi MBBS/BDS Admission 2020

Admission Procedure

The admission procedure will be followed by the centralized counselling which is conducted through online mode. The candidates will be invited for counselling as per their rank obtained in the entrance exam.

Candidates can appear in NEET (national Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) national level entrance exam for admission into various renowned institutions of the country like AIIMS (All Indian Institute of Medical Science), JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education and Research), etc.

Entrance Exams

There are no state or university level exam for admission in MBBS/BDS courses. Candidates will be admitted on the basis of the NEET score card only. So, it is must to appear in the NEET national level entrance exam to get admission in Delhi medical colleges.

For higher degree medical course candidates can apply for NEET PG entrance exam. Candidates can also apply in AIIMS PG entrance exam to get admission in AIIMS, Delhi.

Delhi has numbers of medical and dental colleges those offer education in the related field and also provide the internship facility.

Delhi MBBS/BDS Admission 2020

Eligible candidates could apply only on fulfilling the eligibility criteria given below.

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen. OCI candidates can also apply.
  • The lower age of the candidate should be 17 years as on 31st December 2020.
  • The upper age is 25 years for General/OBC and 30 years for SC/ST categories.
  • Candidates should pass the 12th class with a PCB subject combination along with English subject from a recognized board.
  • Qualifying exam should be passed with 50% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).
  • Candidates those studying in 12th class can also apply.

Selection Procedure

Candidates had to appear and qualify the NEET exam for admission into medical courses. After qualifying the exam, candidates have to register for the counselling procedure.

The counselling will be conducted separately for 15% all India quota seats and 85% state quota seats by the MCC & DGHS and by each college individually.

It is necessary for the candidates to appear in the counselling & confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS in the allotted college. The seats will be allotted on the basis of document verification, rank of the candidate and availability of seats.
