This entrance exam is conducted every year for admission into DM/ M.Ch & Dr. NB Super specialty courses. Only the students qualifying in this test will become eligible for admission in various participating Govt. & Private colleges situated across the country. The NEET SS counselling process 2025 has been started after the release of the result. The counselling procedure is conducted for every exam-qualified candidate through an online mode.

NBE conducts the counselling procedure for NEET SS 2025 in various rounds based on the availability of seats. Based on the rank of the candidates, the seats are allocated.

NEET SS 2025 Counselling Procedure

The counselling process for NEET SS is conducted through online mode by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The step-by-step process for the counselling is given below:

Step 1: Counselling Registration:

The candidates shortlisted in the merit list are able to register for the NEET SS counseling process by paying registration and security fees. In the registration process, candidates have to provide their basic personal details such as name, roll number, email ID etc.

Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking:

The candidates have to provide a list of courses in their preferred colleges. This is an important step as the seat allotment can be done on the basis of choices given by the candidates along with their merit. After filling the choices, they have to lock the choices, which will complete the entire process.

Step 3: Processing of Application:

DGHS consider the NEET SS score of the candidates and preferences provided by them to allot seats in their desired colleges and specialty.

Step 4: Provisional Seat Allotment List:

After the processing of applications, a provisional seat allotment list will be released by DGHS. If satisfied with the seat allotment, candidates can confirm their admission by reporting to the concerned college.

If any candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotment, they can either take admission or provide a willingness to attend Round 2 of counseling or just ignore the seat allotment. However, their security fees will be forfeited. In all such cases, candidates can participate in round 2 of counseling.

The second round of counselling will be conducted after assessing the vacant seat status from the first round of counselling. The steps will involve in the second round of counseling will be the same as in the first round. The candidates will be eligible for 2^nd round of counselling are:

1. Candidates will be taken admission through 1^st round seat allotment but have indicated their willingness to appear for the second round.
2. Candidates who will not report for admission get a seat in the 1^st round of seat allotment.
3. Candidates who will not allot seats in the first round of counselling.

After the second round of counselling, a mop-up round may be conducted if the seat remain vacant. This will be a spot round, and counseling and admission will take place simultaneously.

For the document verification process, candidates will have to provide the following important documents:

• NEET SS Scorecard
• Class 10^th and 12^th Mark sheet
• NEET SS Admit Card
• Birth Certificate
• Passing Certificate of Graduation
• Caste Certificate
• Photo ID proof such as Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter Card, Driving License etc.
