PGIMER Nursing 2024 Result will be declared on 3rd June 2024 for M.Sc. Nursing. PGIMER Nursing (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Result) is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Chandigarh Institute of Medical Education and Research.  Through this exam, candidates will be able to apply for admission to the PGIMER’s B.Sc. Nursing (4-year), B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic), and M.Sc. Nursing programmes. Admission will be available in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programmes.

PGIMER Nursing 2024 Result

The PGIMER nursing 2024 result for B.Sc. Nursing and Post Basic nursing will be released in the third week of August 2024. The result for M.Sc. will be declared on 3rd June 2024.

The result will be available in the form of a merit list based on the candidate’s performance in the national level entrance exam. Candidates will get their results in PDF format by entering their roll number and password.

The result will be prepared according to the reservation categories. The outcome includes the candidate’s name, roll number, qualifying status, and marks scored.

PGIMER Nursing 2024 Merit List

The PGIMER Nursing 2024 Merit List will be made available along with the result. Candidates who will earn a spot on the merit list will be able to engage in the counselling process.

The merit list will be available in PDF format. Candidates will be assigned ranks based on the marks scores on the entrance exam, seat availability, candidates applying, highest marks acquired, eligibility conditions, marks secured in the 12th examinations, and so on.

PGIMER Nursing Tie Breaking Criteria 2024

A tie occurs when two or more candidates receive the same number of scores on the entrance exam. The tie breaking method is used to assign fair ranking to deserving applicants. The PGIMER Nursing has set a tie-breaking criteria:

• Candidates who will pass the qualifying exam (class 12) or the PGIMER Nursing  entrance, will be given higher preference. 
• If the tie is still unresolved, the candidates with the higher PGIMER entrance exam score will be granted the advantage.
• If the tie still exists, the age of the candidate will be taken into account. The preference will be given to an older candidate.

PGIMER 2024 Counselling

The counselling will be done through online mode. PGIMER Nursing Counselling 2024 will begin from 20th June 2024 for M.Sc nursing & fourth week of August 2024 for B.Sc. & Post B.Sc.Nursing.   

Candidates who will be selected for counselling will be required to present their certificates at the designated location. Following that, a list of candidates eligible for counselling will be published. Candidates must report to the counselling location for further admission process based on the list. For verification, candidates must produce photocopies of their documents as well as the originals.

PGIMER Nursing 2024 Selection

Candidates will be chosen based on a merit list provided by the authority. The merit list includes the name of the candidates who will be shortlisted based on merit list provided by the authority. The merit list includes the candidates shortlisted based on their achievement in the qualifying exam. 

The authorities will compile the merit list based on the candidate’s percentile scores. Candidates must achieve the minimum cutoff marks established for each category.

The Director of PGIMER, Chandigarh will make the final judgement on candidate’s selection. For each category, the minimal qualifying percentile in the entrance exam will be:

• Unreserved Category: 50%
• SC/ST/OBC and PWD: 45%

Candidates who have been chosen must pay the entrance fee in order to be selected. If the fee will not be paid, the seat will be cancelled and offered to the nex candidate on the waiting list in the order of merit.
