Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology, Bathinda

Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology, (BFCET) Bathinda, is an engineering college established in the year 2008. The college is managed by the Baba Farid Vidyak Society established in the year 1993 with the aim of providing quality education at an affordable cost and preparing young students to face the competitive world on all fronts. The society also runs other Baba Farid colleges that offers education in fields like agriculture, management, etc. The BFCET is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to PTU Jalandhar.

Campus:

The BFCET is situated at Bathinda-Muktsar road at a distance 4 km from Bathinda city. The college has lush green campus spread over 50 acres. The institute has hi-tech ultra modern facilities to ensure smooth and well planned education for its students.

Programmes:

The courses offered by BFCET include six undergraduate engineering courses in various disciplines with an intake capacity of total 420 students. The institute is also offering postgraduate courses in two disciplines. The admission to the various courses is done on the basis of JEE score and 33% of the seats are filled by management quota. The other associated college of Baba Farid offers courses in various fields. The college offers 4-years B.Sc (Hons.) in agriculture.

Facilities:

The facilities provided by BFCET  includes well equipped labs, spacious and ventilated classrooms, seminar hall, sports and gymnasium, library having rich collection of books and journals, computer centre with internet connectivity for staff and students. The other facilities provided by the college includes transportation, mess and canteen etc.

Placement:

The Training and Placement cell of BFCET is fully fledged and helps the students to meet their corporate expectations. The cell coordinated and manages various personality development programmes to help the students in their campus recruitment process. The cell conducts soft skill programmess like communication skills, interview skills, motivational and attitudinal Changes.  The institute has various tie-ups with big IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Reliance, General Motor etc.

Activities:

The students of the institute participate in extra-curricular activities that are held throughout the year. The major activities include, cultural activities like clay modeling, poster making, bhangra, debate competition, sports meet, red ribbon club etc.
