CMR Law School, Bangalore

CMR Law School (CMRLS), Bangalore was inaugurated by the Shri T.N. Chaturvedi (Governor of Karnataka) in the year of 2003. It is an integral part of the CMR Jnanadhara Trust.  The School is affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Campus

The Campus of the School is situated in the locality of OMBR Layout, Chikka Banasawadi, Bangalore. The college is well-connected with the road & rail transportation facility. The campus is located 7 km away from the Cantonment Railway Station.

Facilities

There is a spacious and well-ventilated classrooms with the audio-visual aids & latest teaching & presentation equipment’s. The library is well-stocked with multiple text books, reference books, national and international journals, periodicals, videos, audio & CD Rom. There is a state-of-the-art computer lab with the LAN networking with internet and web-browsing facility. Other facilities provided by the school are: seminar hall, auditorium, medical, cafeteria, Indoor and outdoor sports, conference hall & transport. The School also offers separate hostel Facility for boys and girls with stay-in-wardens.

Programmes

CMR Law School imparts three years & five years integrated undergraduate courses in the field of law, i.e. Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Bachelor of Business Administration & Bachelor of Laws (BBA LLB) & Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB). There are 60 seats available for each course.

Law Courses:

  • LLB – 3 years
  • BA LLB – 5 years
  • BBA LLB – 5 years

Admission

Students have to pass PUC/HSC/12th Std. or its equivalent examination from a recognized board to get admission into five years integrated BBA LLB & BA LLB programme. Those students seek admission into three years LLB course, they have to qualify UG degree or its equivalent course examination. Students have to score minimum 45% marks for general category & 40% marks for SC/ST category. The admission into these courses is strictly based on merit & based on the marks secured by the students in the qualifying examination.
