College of Agricultural Technology (CAT), Theni
College of Agricultural Technology (CAT), Theni is an institution of agriculture education in southern district of Tamil Nadu which is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agicultural University, Coimbatore and has approval of ICAR. The college has been established in the year 2010 and it is symbolically designated as CAT. The aim of the institution is to cater the need of farmers with new technologies.
Campus
The College is situated at the base of the foothills of Western Ghats of Kullapuram village at distance of 12 km away from Theni city and close to Cumbum valley and Vaigai dam. The area of the campus is spread over 153 hectares of land. The campus of the institution has all the facilities within the campus boundaries.
Facilities
The college has a library with good numbers of valuable referential textbooks. The college has well-qualified highly experienced, dedicated teaching staff to cover all the professional subjects in the syllabus. The other facilities are also available in the institution like well-equipped and sophisticated laboratories with modern technologies for proper training of the students, a garden with rare collection of medicinal plant, sports, travelling, gymnasium, cafeteria, farms, etc.

The institution provides academic programmes in agribusiness management, food process engineering, energy and environmental engineering and diploma in engineering. Placement
The institution has training & placement department since its inception. The cell arranges the in-plant training and industrial visits to the students to understand the industry practices and demands. It also provides guest lectures by experts, imparting personality development classes, providing adequate employment related information, arranging campus interview and many others career oriented programs.
