Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering, (DITE) Delhi was established in the year 2007, with the amalgamation of the institutes namely the Tool Room & Training centre (TRTC) located at Wazirpur and Hi-Tech Vocational Training centre (HTVTC) located at Okhla these two institutes were technically assisted and financed by the government of Denmark and govt. of Italy with the objective of supplying trained professionals to the industries in and around Delhi. The DITE is approved by various agencies such as four year Diploma Course in Tool & Die Making by Board of Technical Education, Govt. Of NCT Delhi, B.Tech and M.Tech courses are approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi. The college is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation as A+ Institute.
Campus:
The DITE has two campuses, campus 1 is located at Wazirpur industrial area (Delhi) and campus 2 is located at the Okhla industrial area, Phase-II (New Delhi). The college is well connected by transport facility available whole day.
Programmes:
The college is offering two B.tech programs in tool engineering and mechanotronics and M.tech program in tool engineering. The college is also offering a four year diploma course in tool and die making.
Facilities:
The college has good infrastructure with well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and ventilated classrooms, well stocked library having good collection books and journals and a subscription to leading newspapers and magazines. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, sports facility, transport facility, canteen and mess facility, and medical facility.
Placement:
The college has well established and centralized Training and Placement department consisting of highly experienced and dedicated faculty members. The cell has a close liaison with the Industry for placement of students and conducts Pre-placement training & seminars for students to make them industry fit. The cell also conducts workshops, guest lectures from eminent personalities and industry experts to improve overall core competency of the students.
