Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) was established in the year 1953. It is approved by University of Calcutta. It is the first institute in India to offer an MBA degree. IISWBM is known for introducing and successfully conducting socially relevant and innovative management programs.
Campus
The college is located in Kolkata. The campus has state of art infrastructure with all the necessary facilities. The campus has administration block, student block, residential facilities, and library. The institution provides necessary facility for all round development of the students. The institution also provides various recreational facilities to the students.

The institution provides all the necessary facilities to the students such as library (which has collection of books, magazines, journals and periodicals), computer labs, wi-fi connectivity, auditorium, conference room, hostel facility , well furnished classrooms and other recreational facilities like gymnasium, canteen, sports facility etc are also available for the students.

Placement
The college provides placement assistance to all the students. The college has a training and placement cell. The placement officer acts as a catalyst in facilitating the interaction between the students and corporate houses. The placement officer provides internship to the students as well as has tie up with the companies to place students. The following companies have come to recruit the students Adani Group, ABP, Bajaj Allianz Life, Bluestar India, Exide Industries, Mendine Pharmaceuticals, Reliance Capital, and Vodafone etc.
