Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national level test regulated by All India Management Association (AIMA). It will be conducted in two modes (PBT and CBT). There is not any attempt limit or age bar, candidates can apply as many times they needed.

MAT 2026 Registration

Some important instructions regarding MAT Application Form 2026 are given below:

  • Candidates will be required to apply for MAT exam 2026 through online mode only.
  • All the entries in the registration form should be done in English language.
  • MAT Registration process will be started from the month of December 2025.
  • Images of scanned photograph and signature are required to upload as per the specifications.
  • After completing the application process, candidates should take printout of it for their record.
  • Except Name, DOB, Email and mobile number other details will be editable after the final submission.
  • The last to register for MAT exam will be till first week of March 2026 for PBT and second week of March 2026 for CBT.

Application Fee:

  • Only online payment gateway will be available to pay the application fee.
  • Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card), Net Banking, UPI and Paytm wallet can be used for fee payment.
  • The MAT application fee will be Rs.2200/- for single mode and Rs. 3800/- for PBT & CBT both modes.
  • For additional MIs, candidates have to pay Rs.118/- (including GST) per MI.

How to Apply for MAT 2026

  • Enter your full name, address, mobile number, state, city, password and click on “Register” option.
  • Now, verify your Email ID and Number through OTP.

  • Make the fee payment through online mode.
  • After the final submission take printout of it for further use.

MAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the application form, candidates must check below given MAT eligibility criteria:

  • Qualification: Candidates must have completed their graduation degree from any recognized college or university.
  • Stream: Candidates from any stream are eligible to apply for MAT exam.
  • Age Limit: There is not any age limit or restrictions to appear for this examination.
  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation degree are also eligible to apply.
  • Minimum Marks: To apply for MAT exam, there is no minimum marks required in the qualifying exam. However, the participating institutions may have their own criteria for minimum marks.

MAT 2026 Exam Pattern

  • Mode: The exam will be conducted through PBT (Paper Based Test) and CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.
  • Sections: There will be total five sections in the MAT examination.
  • Duration: Total two hours will be provided to solve the question paper.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct answer. The overall score will be based on all five sections of MAT exam.
  • Negative Marking: Yes, negative marking will be done for incorrect answer. -0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

MAT 2026 Admit Card

Candidates who will successfully registered for the MAT exam, will be able to download the admit card. MAT Admit Card will be available separately for both PBT & CBT exam. Only online mode is available to get hall ticket.

The admit card will be released in second week of March 2026 for PBT and third week of March 2026 for CBT exam. The admit card will hold details like Candidate’s Name, Form Number, Roll Number, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address etc.

MAT 2026 Score Card

The AIMA will announce the result in last week of March 2026 for March session exam. MAT Result 2026 will be declared together for both PBT & CBT exams. It will be released online through the website.

MAT score card 2026 can be obtained through the applicant’s dashboard. After the result declaration, the authority will send the candidate’s score to their selected choices of institutions. Candidates have to select these institutions at the time of application form filling.

MAT 2026 Cut-off

MAT Cut-off is the qualifying marks or rank considered by the participating colleges for providing admission. The cut-off will be different as per the category of the candidates. The cut-off will be released via online mode only.

The cut-off for mostly top colleges and b.schools ranges between 80 to 95 percentile. After securing the cut-off marks, candidates can proceed for the further admission procedure like Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

MAT 2026 Admission Procedure

There is no centralized MAT counselling conducted for admission. After the result declaration, MAT score will be sent to the institutions selected by the candidates during application form filling. Candidates have to visit their respective college website for admission updates.

Generally, there will be various rounds in the admission procedure like GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview). To get final admission, candidates will have to qualify these round and proceed for the document verification & fee payment process. Candidates must have their original documents along with photocopies for verification process.
