Jadavpur University, Kolkata

Jadavpur University popularly known as JU, is one of reputed public research university located in Kolkata, West Bengal.  The university was established in the year 1955 and it ranked among the top public universities in India for its quality of education in various fields of Engineering, Arts, Science etc. The University is recognized by UGC and NAAC.

Campus:

The university has two campuses, the main campus is located at Jadavpur in an area of 58 acres and the second one is located at Salt lake covering an area of 26 acres, both the campuses are located at a distance 12.6km and 8.8km from the city centre respectively. A new third campus of the university is still under construction.  The university has excellent infrastructure comprising of all major facilities for staff and students.

Facilities:

The University provides all major facilities to the students like well equipped labs and workshops, well ventilated and spacious classrooms, computer centre with high speed internet facility for staff and students. The University also has residential facilities for staff and students. The university also provide various facility like Sports facility, canteen and mess facility etc.

Activities:

Many social, cultural and technical events are organized by the JU on regular basis. The university also encourage students to participate in sports event organized in the University every year.
