Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic named after the Dr. Jnan Chandra Ghosh was in the year 1959 as a sponsored of polytechnic. In the year 1977 this polytechnic institution was taken over by the Govt. of West Bengal. The institute located in the Mayurbhanj Road in Kolkata, West Bengal. The institute offers Diplomas in Engineering, Pharmacy and Science & Humanities. It is approved with AICTE and affiliated to West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE).

Campus

The institution is located in the 7, Mayurbhanj Road, Mominpur Road, Mominpur Choti Bazar, Mominpur, Kolkata. The institute is supported by a team of experienced faculty, skilled technical staff and excellent non-teaching staff. It has well-established library with seating arrangement of 60 seats. It has spacious classrooms, long lush green lawns in which medicinal gardens are available.

Facilities

The college offers facilities like Lecture theatres which are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual. The college also offers well-equipped Laboratories, spacious classrooms, well stocked library, hostels, canteen, etc; for the students. The institution has its own transport facility to transport the students from their home place to institute. There are individual laboratories for each department.

Programmes

The Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic offered the courses in Engineering, Science & Humanities and Pharmacy streams. The courses offered by the institution are approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), New Delhi. It offers the Degree of Diploma in above streams. The course offered in the field of Pharmacy is:

The Diploma course is of three years and minimum qualification for the admission in Diploma of Pharmacy is 10+2 from recognized board.
