Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur
Kerala Agricultural University was established on 24th February 1971 through the Act 33 of 1971 of the Kerala State Legislature. It is a public university approved by UGC (University Grants Commission). This university runs various constituent colleges like College of Agriculture, Vellayani, College of Forestry, Vellanikkara and College of Horticulture, Vellanikkara.
Campus
The university has a sprawling campus located at Vellanikkara, Thrissur district of the state of Kerala. The nearest railway station is Thrissur Railway Station, which is 13 kms and International Airport, Kochi is around 50 kms away from the campus.
Facilities
This university has a four storied building, central library with a vast collection of books, volumes, periodicals, reports, national and international journals, etc. There are a large number of classrooms which are fully equipped with latest teaching technologies. It has an advanced computer centre equipped with latest configuration systems and net connectivity. It also provides indoor and outdoor sports facility to students.
