Magadh Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Nalanda

Magadh Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Nalanda was established by Late Dr. B.P. Jawahar. Ex-State Health Minister, Govt. of Bihar in the year of 1969. The college is approved by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi and Govt. of Bihar. It is affiliated to the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur.

Campus

The college is located on Station Road, Biharsharif, Nalanda, Bihar. The college is easily approachable by railway (Patna- Nalanda Main Track) and bus transportation. The Hospital Dispensary is attached to the college.

Facilities

The College library has a rich collection of Homoeopathy books and allied medical subjects. The library has well-stocked journals, magazines, newspapers and periodicals. Facilities that are provided by the college are lecture theatres, seminar hall, sports, conference hall, canteen, well-established classrooms and medical. There is a separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The College has well-equipped laboratories with all kinds of latest equipments.

Programmes

Magadh Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Nalanda impart education through a 5 ½ year degree course in Homoeopathy that is Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). The duration of BHMS programme will be about 4 ½ years + one year compulsory internship. The total number of seats for BHMS is 50. The college also offers B.H.M.S. (Graded Degree) regular Courses as well as a graded course for external candidates.

Internship

All the students of BHMS will have to undertake internship of 1 year duration after passing the final degree examination at the college attached Hospital as per the CCH rules. Students will be recommended to the University for issuing of degree after completion of the Internship only.
