Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET)
Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, popularly known as MIET is the engineering educational institution established in the year 1998 and situated at the Jammu district of the state Jammu and Kashmir. The college is affiliated by the University and Jammu and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college has received the accreditation from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Campus
The campus of Model Institute of Engineering and Technology is located at the Jammu district and covers the area of more than 25 acres or about 10 hectares land. The campus is well connected by roads and rails. MIET is about 13 kms away from the Jammu Tawi Railway station and about 9kms from the bus stand.
Facilities
MIET, Jammu has well maintained computerized library that contains about 28000 reference books, journals, encyclopedia etc, the library is also provided with the internet facility. The computer laboratory for the students consists of 550 computers with 24 hours internet facility, printer facility is also available. A large area of playground is provided for the sport activities, banking facility and transport facility for students and staff members.
