Panjab University, Chandigarh
The Panjab University was established in the year 1882. It was approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated with the Public type University. It is located in Chandigarh. The university provides the various courses in various disciplines. Many other colleges were comes under this university which conducts the different courses. It offers courses like Arts, Business Management and Commerce, Law, Design and Fine Arts, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, etc.
Campus
The Panjab University has four constituent colleges located at Sikhwala (Sri Muktsar Sahib), Balachaur (SBS Nagar), Nihalsingh wala (Moga) and Guru Harsahai (Ferozepur). University campus is spread over 550 acres (2.2 km) in sector 14 and 25 of the city Chandigarh. University has 78 teaching and research departments and 15 centers/chairs for teaching and research at the main campus located at Chandigarh.
Facilities
The university provides the many facilities for the students of local place and for students who stayed in hostels. There is hostel facilities also provide for both boys and girls. College has a Wi-Fi connection in the college campus, ATM facility is also provided in the college boundaries. The college class rooms are fully ventilated and spacious. The Laboratories, workshops, computer labs, library, play ground, gymnasium, cafeteria, etc are all in the college boundaries.

Placement
The Panjab University invites the various companies every year for the training and placement cell. Every year 100 plus students get placed by the various top, most companies. The university actively drives the placement cell and invites the companies. The top most companies visited the college every year some of these for Pharmacy department are Ranbaxy, CIPLA, Novartis, Merck & CO, Otsuka, etc.
