PGP College of Agricultural Sciences, Namakkal
PGP College of Agricultural Sciences, Namakkal was established in 2013, It is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agicultural University-Coimbatore. It is approved by Government of Tamil Nadu. The college imparts quality education in the field of agriculture to optimize each student’s overall personality development. The college is situated in the National Highway (NH-7) between Namakkal and Karur.
The college campus is comprises of three blocks with an area of about 300 acres. The main block area is 200 acres where in college buildings, hostel play grounds, agricultural farms, dairy and piggery units, lawns, etc. The other two blocks (30 acres and 60 acres) are referred to as farming activities, which include wet, garden and dry land farming. The college is well-connected through road and railway with the nearby towns. The nearest airport is Salem.
There is large number of services provided by the PGP College of Agricultural Sciences in its campus. The college provides well-equipped facilities to all its students studying in campus. The computer labs, laboratories, classrooms, and workshops everything is well-maintained and furnished with latest technologies. The college has its own transportation facility, the whole campus is enabled with the Hi-speed internet connectivity. It has a central library in which textbooks, journals, periodicals, thesis and many more matters are available for research students.
The academic programmes at college of agriculture sciences have been started during the end of July 2013. At present the four year Bachelor of agriculture and two year diploma in agriculture degree course are offered at this college.
