Sir LA. Shah Law College, Ahmedabad

Sir L.A. Shah Law College, Ahmedabad was formed on the 20th June, 1927. The college is managed by the Gujarat Law Society (GLS). It is affiliated to the Gujarat University & approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Campus

The college is located in the GLS Campus, Opp Law Garden, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad. The campus is well-linked with the transportation facility. The college has an excellent infrastructure with the Administrative Blocks & Academic Blocks.

Facilities

The college has a spacious & well-equipped classrooms with the facility of LCD Projector. The library has a rich collection of the books, journals, magazines, solved papers, periodicals reacted to the law. The college offers various facilities such as sports-room, seminar hall, computer lab, conference hall, parking, canteen, indoor & outdoor games. There is a centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 275 people. There is also a moot court room for giving the practical training and guidance to the law students about the court practice.

Sir L.A. Shah Law College, Ahmedabad imparts undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma & doctoral courses in the area of Law. The college offers three years Bachelor of Law (LLB), two years Master of Law (LLM), one year PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Law & Ph.D in Law.

Admission

Students seek admission into LLB course, they have to pass the graduation degree with a minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category). Those students want admission into LLM programme, they have to complete the LLB degree. The admission into these courses will be based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
