The chairman of HCL Technologies, Dr. Shiv Nadar has been founded the Institution in Chennai named Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering which is now popular as the SSN College of Engineering. The college has been established in the year 1996. The college is affiliated to the Anna University, approved by the AICTE and accredited by the NBA and ISO 9001:2000 certification.


The 250 acres’ vast campus is sited on the Old Mahabalipuram Road at Kalavakkam panchayat in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The campus is well-accessible from the nearby cities.

The campus boasts around 2400 UG students, 450 PG students and 100 doctoral students. The college provides the facility of more than 250 faculty members from all departments.


The campus provides the facility of central computer centre with internet, central library, well-stocked library, seminar hall & auditorium, well-equipped laboratories and workshops, indoor stadium, gymnasium, transportation and separate hostel for boys and girls.


SSN College of Engineering is focused on the sports activities. The campus has its cricket field, football field, tennis, basket ball, table tennis and badminton court. The college organizes the social activities, extra and co-curricular activities.
