Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology

The Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology, also known as VESIT or V.E.S. Institute of Technology established in the year 1984. It is an engineering college affiliated with the University of Mumbai and Approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The institute is situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Campus

The campus is situated at Chembur, a northeastern town of Mumbai. The institute shares its campus with the college of Pharmacy and the college for Research and Management. VESIT has 3, 75, 000 sq. ft. land shelter 12 buildings and 28 Institutions, arraying from a Playgroup to Ph.D. The campus includes one large C-shaped building for the engineering college and some other buildings for the other colleges, hostels, etc.

The VESIT offers many types of facilities for accommodation to the students such as Well equipped Laboratories, Library (contains over 48,747 books, E-journals-IEEE, Springer, McGrawHill, ASTM, I-Gate, Science Direct, 400+ seating capacity), Wireless Internet facility, Auditorium, Hostel, Transportation, Cafeteria, Sports, Seminar Hall, Theater and Placement Cell facility.

The institute offers a PG degree in Master of Computer Application. It also offers 4 years UG programme (B.Tech) and PG programme (M.Tech) in Engineering Education in the following disciplines:

Placement

The VESIT placement cell provides employability abilities, but also the overall progress of the student’s individual. On campus and pre-placement training programs such as aptitude exams are conducted beside with seminar based on the largely campus employment process, skill set study, steering the conference and transnational investigation. The purpose of the placement cell is to give a unique stage to the students by performing as a link among the industries and the college circles.
