Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE), Mumbai

The Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE) was set up in the year of 2005. The Institution is managed by The Society of Jesus (Jesuit Fathers). The XIE is approved by AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) and associated to Mumbai University. It was established to give minority Roman Catholic students in India technical learning. The main aim of the XIE is to attempt to match worldwide benchmarks in technological education by communication with Industry, personnel training and improvement of personal satisfaction.

Campus

The Campus of XIE situated in the heart of Mumbai. It is located reverse S.L Raheja Hospital. The Institute campus is well connected by road and rail. The campus has world class infrastructure. There XIE has a separate big classroom for the placement cell. All the campus is wifi enabled.

Facilities

There is a separate well equipped research facility for every subject and for every field. The XIE has a huge workshop facility on the ground floor. The institution has classrooms, separate staff rooms for faculty, Gymkhana and canteen (spacious, clean, and aerated) facilities. There is also a library facility with lots of book and journals collection.

Programmes

The Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE) only offers Undergraduate courses in different disciplines. All the courses are given below:

B.Tech Courses:

  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Computer Engineering (CE)
  • Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering

Placement

The XIE has its own specific placement cell which is exceptionally dynamic. The Training and Placement cell (T & P cell) arranges various classes of Group Discussion, Interviews, and Pre-Placement Talks for the student personality development. Some of the companies for placements are: Infosys, Polaris, L&T Infotech, Tech Mahindra, MAQ Computers, Godrej Infotech, Persistent and many more.
