Pondicherry University 2025 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern will be different for various courses. Below, we have mentioned the detailed exam pattern of various courses offered by Pondicherry University:
CUET UG:

- Examination Mode: The exam will be conducted through online mode.
- Type of Questions: The questions will be based on the MCQ).
- Shifts: There will be 3 shifts per day.
- Language: The questions will be asked in English language.
- Time: Exam will be held in three slots per day (Slot 1 & 2 – 120 minutes & Slot 3 – 180 minutes).
- Choice of Subjects: A total 6 test papers can be chosen. Students can choose either – 4 domain subjects, 1 language subject & 1 general test OR 3 domain subjects, 2 language subjects & 1 general test.
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will be awarded with 5 marks.
- Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, a -1 mark will be deducted.
CUET PG:
- Mode of the examination: Computer-based test (CBT)/Lan-based/Online
- Medium: English and Hindi
- Duration of the exam: 1 hour 45 minutes or 105 minutes
- Frequency of exam: Once a year
- Type of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) asked from CUET PG syllabus
- Total number of Questions: 75
- Total Marks: 300
- Negative marking: Yes
- Marking Scheme: +4 for a correct answer| -1 for an incorrect answer
