CAT 2025- 2026 IIM Admission

Every IIM selects the candidates for further stages of selection which is independent of each previous process. The process of admission include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI).

CAT 2025/ 2026 written examination is necessary for the admission process. IIMs consider some candidates work experience, previous academic performance and others criteria in short listing and ranking of candidates.

Candidate’s performance is analysed at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic CAT 2025 Cut Off’s and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across IIMs.

CAT 2025 result has been released on 24th December 2025 on website. The list of shortlisted candidates for the next stages of selection is provided on the website of the respective IIMs. Each IIM send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly.

The criteria for short listing the candidates will vary for various IIMs. Candidates have to visit the admission portal of the respective websites of IIMs for future information.

Eligibility Verification Procedure

If a candidate is shortlisted for interviews by any IIM, he/ she must go through the eligibility verification:

• Mark sheets and Degree Certificate: A candidate must produce all the mark sheets and attested copies to prove his/ her eligibility at the time of interview. If a candidate is selected for a programme, original degree certificate and mark sheets of all semesters/years along with their attested copies must be submitted for verification at the time of admission.
• Reservation Category: Reserved category candidates have to show the original caste/class/ disability certificate along with a photocopy at the time of interview. Further, if a candidate is selected for a programme, the original certificate of qualifying degree and attested copy of the same also have to be submitted for verification at the time of attending the programme.
• Final Year Graduates: Final year bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination have to produce the original certificate from the Principal / Registrar / Director of the university/ institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of reserved categories). They must submit an attested copy of the original certificate at the time of interview.
• For the Post Graduate Programmes: If selected candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, if they submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution. The final admission will be provided only when original mark sheet and qualifying degree certificate of passing the bachelor’s degree will be submitted.
