Candidates will be selected for the UG program based on National level examinations such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, CEED, JAM & KVPY. For PG admission, admission will be offered based on scores obtained in GATE, CAT, GMAT or CEED examinations. IISC 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Here, we have listed the complete IISC 2026 eligibility norms: 

For UG Programmes: 

• Qualifications: Applying candidates must have qualified class 12th to its equivalent exam from any recognized board. 
• Qualifying subjects: In qualifying exam, candidates must have subjects such as Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. 
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible. 
• Scorecard: Candidates must possess a valid scorecard of JEE Main/ NEET UG/ JEE Advanced/ IISER as on 1st August 2026. 
• Appearing: Those appearing candidates for their class 12th exam in 2026 will also be considered for admission. 

For PG Programmes:

• Qualification: Candidates must have bachelor’s degree in engineering/ technology or a 4 year B.Sc degree to be eligible for admission. 
• To be eligible, candidates must hold an MS/MBA degree or MBBS/MD/B.Pharm or B.E/ B.Tech degree. 
• In addition, candidates with a PG degree in economics, commerce, management, psychology, geography, science, computer science/ application or operations research will also be eligible to apply. 
• Scorecard: One with a valid GATE/ NET/ NET JRF/ GPAT scorecard dates on or before 1st August 2026 will be considered for admission.

How to Apply for IISC 2026 

Complete steps to fill the IISC 2026 application form is mentioned below: 

• Visit the IISC admission portal online (Direct Link is given above). 
• On the homepage, press on the UG/PG programme to proceed. 
• Now press the “New user to register – click here” button. 
• Register yourself using basic information such as name, date of birth, email address, etc. 
• After registration, an email will  be sent with a link to confirm the email address & generate login ID. 
• Now login using allotted details to fill the application form. 
• Fill the form with details such as personal, academic qualifications, communication details, etc. 
• After form filling, upload the scanned documents such as photograph, signature, marksheet & other necessary documents in prescribed format. 
• All the Documents must be uploaded in JPG/ JPEG format only. 
• Recheck the details once before proceeding towards next steps. 
• Next step is to submit the fee as per your category & courses applied. 
• Select the payment method & press the “Submit” button. 
• After finally submitting the registration form, a confirmation page will appear on the screen. 
• Do not forget to take a hardcopy of the application form for further verification in admission.
