Below, we have mentioned the detailed schedule for ISI admission 2026:

ISI Application Form:

The application form for ISI 2026 will be made accessible via online mode. The ISI 2026 application form filling will start in last week of February 2026.  

Application fee for general category candidates is Rs.1500/- (male) & Rs.1000 (female) and for reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC) candidates is Rs 750/-. Application fee payment is done via online mode. Candidates have to use debit/ credit card, net banking for online payment.

ISI 2026 Admit Card:

The authority will release the ISI admit card in 2nd week of April 2026. Admit card will be made accessible via online mode. Candidates need to login to the portal to download the admit card.

It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the exam centre on the day of exam. No, candidates are allowed to enter the exam hall without a valid admit card.

ISI 2026 Admission Test:

ISI 2026 admission test will be conducted on 10th May 2026 via offline mode. The exam paper will consist of two parts- part 1 and part 2.

Part 1 will be compulsory and consist of multiple choice questions. Part 2 will be based on subject/discipline chosen by candidates and consists of descriptive questions. Medium of questions will be English.

ISI 2025 Answer Key:

The authority will release the provisional ISI 2026 answer key in third week of May 2026. The answer key will be published set wise for all the programs. Final answer key will be made available in June 2026. 

Through the answer key, candidates will be able to check the correct answer for the questions asked in the ISI exam.

ISI 2026 Result:

The ISI 2026 result/ merit list will be declared in June 2026. The merit list of ISI 2026 will be released in the form of a merit list. ISI 2026 merit list will be released through online mode.

The merit list of ISI will have details such as rank, registration number and name in it. After the release of merit list, candidates will be required to appear for interview rounds.

ISI Interview & Counseling:

The interview will be conducted for UG and PG courses. On the basis of interview & admission test, the admission lists will be released.

In the ISI 2026 Counselling, first round of seat and wait list allotment will start in first week of July 2026. Second round will begin in second week of July 2026. The final round will begin in second week of July 2026.

Candidates have to accept seat offered through online mode after every round of seat allotment. Provisionally admitted candidates have to report at a specified centre for document verification, payment of fee and completion of admission process.
