To register for ISI exam 2026, students need go through below procedure:

- Click on the online application portal provided.
- Now register by providing asked details such as name, email id, mobile number, course, etc.
- Verify and submit details. Then login and fill other details (personal & academic).
- Now upload images according to the prescribed size and format.
- Next step is to pay application fee.
- Pay fee according to the category and provided gateway.
- Now submit the form after verifying all details.

ISI Application Correction 2026
No correction window is opened by authority after the registration window is closed. The authority is strict about the details and will not change any data later.

ISI Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For admission in Statistics and Mathematics in UG/ PG level, go through eligibility below:
For UG Courses:
- B.Stat (Hons.) Course – Student should have passed 10+2 level / Higher Secondary level or its equivalent with English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- B.Math (Hons.) Course – Student should have passed 10+2 level / Higher Secondary level or its equivalent with English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
For PG Courses:
- M.Stat Course – Student should have Bachelor’s degree of 3 or more years duration in any discipline from a recognized board/ university.

ISI 2026 Exam Pattern

- Mode of Exam: Exam will be held in offline mode/ OMR based.
- Language: Students can attempt paper in English.
- Type of Questions: Part 1 will have Multiple choice questions. Whereas in Part 2, there will be short answer questions.
- Time duration: 3 hours will be provided to complete the paper.
- Marks: Part 1 will be of 120 marks and Part 2 of 120 marks.
- Marking: 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer. -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

ISI Answer Key 2026
The answer key of ISI 2026 can be downloaded online in the month of May 2026. OMR Responses will be available along with answer key. Using answer key and response sheet, students will be able to match their answers and know probable scores.
The authority also opens the objection/ challenge facility for answer key and response sheet. The facility remains open for 3-4 days. After the acceptance of objections, final answer key will be released.
ISI 2026 Result
The results of ISI 2026 will be available in the form of merit list/ rank list. It will be available for downloading in the month of June 2026. For each course, it will be uploaded separately in the PDF form.
ISI merit list contains name of qualified candidate, application number, rank, etc. It will be divided based on category of candidates.
ISI 2026 Cut Off
The cut off varies for different courses provided for admission. The qualifying cut off marks for general students is 50; for OBC is 45 and for ST/ SC is 40. Students must check previous year ISI Cut off, to know about the trends.

ISI 2026 Counselling
After the release of final answer key, the authority releases ISI Interviews list / schedule. The interview list contains the name of students with their registration code for various courses. Students are strictly admitted into courses based on their performance shown in written test and interviews.
The authority releases merit & allocation list after the interview process in various rounds. For Round 1 seat and wait list allocation will be done in June/ July 2026. After acceptance of seat, one must report at the allotted venue for document verification to confirm their seats.
