How to Apply for JIPMER PG 2026

Before applying, candidates must ensure to satisfy the JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria 2026 as given below:

For INI CET:

  • Nationality: Indian citizens, OCI or foreign nationals will only be allowed to apply.
  • Qualification: Students must have passed a MBBS degree for DM/M.Ch/MD/MS programmes or a BDS degree for MDS programmes.
  • Marks: Applicants must obtain a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST category) in qualifying exam.
  • Internship: A 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training of required period on or before 31st January 2026 must be completed.

For INI SS:

  • Age: The maximum age must not exceed 45 years as on 1st January 2026, with relaxations of upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.
  • Qualification: Applicants should obtain a MD/DNB degree to apply for DM courses and MD/MS degree for M.Ch courses.
  • Marks: Aspirants must have passed their qualifying degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST category).
  • Registration: Aspirants should be registered with the Central/State Medical Registration Council to be eligible to apply.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying degree will also be allowed to apply.

JIPMER PG 2026 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: JIPMER PG 2026 exam will be administered via online (CBT) mode
  • Duration: Candidates will get 3 hours to solve INI CET & 1 hour and 30 minutes for INI-SS exam.
  • Questions Type: INI SS Exam will carry Objective type Single Correct Choice, whereas INI CET will include both Objective Type- Single & Multiple Correct Choice.
  • Total Questions: Students will have to answer 200 questions in INI CET and 80 questions in INI SS.
  • Medium: Question paper for INI SS & INI CET will be available in English only.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, students will earn 1 mark, while 1/3 of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Students will be able to check their JIPMER PG Result 2026 via online mode from the website. The result will be announced for INI CET exam on 15th November 2025 and for INI SS exam on 28th October 2025 for the January session.

Students should enter their login credentials such as application number and password to access the entrance exam result. A combined merit list based on overall rank and roll number will be prepared to shortlisted eligible candidates for further admission process.
