It is a state level entrance exam conducted for admission in various specializations of engineering professional degree courses.

Since 2022, exam has been cancelled. Admission was offered on the basis of 10+2 marks. Through Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET), candidates will get admission in the engineering institutions of J&K only.

JKCET 2025 Result/ Merit List
JKCET Result 2025 will be checked through online mode. The result will be made available in the form of merit list. Candidates must check their total score and overall rank obtained by them in the result. The answer key for JKCET 2025 will be published along with the releasing of the result.
Candidates must check the result directly from the website. There will be no need for any login credentials to check the result. Result will be declared in the form of merit list. JKCET Counselling 2025 will be organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOSE). It will be started from the fourth week of June 2025.
JKCET Result Date 2025
The board will provide the JKCET Result 2025 through online mode only. No other mode such as post or courier will be entertained to download the result. Merit List will be declared in the fourth week of June 2025. The result will be released in the form of merit list.
Candidates whose name will appear in the merit list will have to participate in counselling session. The process will be started in the fourth week of June 2025. Admission will be given to candidates after the counselling process only.
How to Check Result
Candidates must check their results by following the process given below:
- Visit the official website link (Link will be given above).
- Click on the ‘Click here’ tab.
- The result is displayed in pdf format.
- Result display the candidates name and roll number.
- Check your total marks and secured rank.
- Download the pdf and take the printout for further use.
- Keep the printout safe till further use.
Determination of Merit
The merit list for each offered courses will be prepared on the basis of inter-se-merit & eligibility of the candidates. Merit list will be provided separately for open merit category and reserved category.
It will be prepared in descending order for the Open Merit Category and similarly for each Reserved Category separately. Candidates will have to score the minimum qualifying marks in the entrance exam prescribed by the Jammu & Kashmir reservation rules.
In case of equal marks scored by the two candidates, inter-se-merit will be prepared by following ways:
- Marks obtained in Mathematics component of the Entrance test.
- Marks obtained in Physics component of the Entrance test, if marks obtained in Mathematics component are equal.
- Marks obtained in Chemistry component of the Entrance test if marks obtained in Mathematics and Physics components are equal.
- Candidate older in age if marks obtained in Maths, Physics and Chemistry are same.

JKCET Seat Reservation Criteria
The following is a reservation criteria of JKCET 2025:

JKCET 2025 Counselling
The JKCET counselling 2025 will be commenced in the first week of July 2025 via online mode. Applicants those have shortlisted, will get a call for counselling procedure on the basis of merit rank. Shortlisted candidates will need to download their counselling letter through online mode.
To appear in the counselling procedure, students will be required to carry the original certificate and the counselling fee of Rs. 500/-. As per counselling process, students will have to choose the college as well the course as per their choice.

- Class 10th marksheet and certificate
- Class 12th marksheet and certificate
- Residence certificate
- JKCET 2025 admit card
- JKCET 2025 result
- Photo ID proof
- Birth certificate etc.
The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the filled course preference. Candidates will have to present in person on the counselling day along with all original documents. Candidates will have to pay the counselling fee also. It will be mandatory for all eligible candidates to participate in the counselling process.
