Thapar University MBA Eligibility

Qualification:

• Candidate must have Graduate degree in any discipline with at least of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA or corresponding grade secured from a recognized University/ Institute OR
• Postgraduate degree in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA or corresponding grade from a recognized University/ Institute OR
• Candidates graduated with a professional qualification securing minimum 50% percentage in all parts/ sections of Intermediate exam of CS/ CA/ ICWA/ Institute of Actuaries of India OR
• Those appearing in final year of Bachelors’ degree / equivalent qualification exam and those completed degree requirements and awaiting results can also apply. However, students must note that such candidates if selected will be allowed to join program provisionally only if they submit a certificate from principal/ registrar of University/ institution stating completed all requirements for obtaining Bachelors’ degree qualification on date of issue of certificate.

Thapar University MBA Admission Procedure 2024

Admission into MBA at LM Thapar School of Management is considered highly competitive. It is provided on the basis of comprehensive assessment of intent and ability of applying students for pursuing a formal learning program in management.

Students who want to take admission in MBA in the institute can appear for TMAT (Thapar Management Aptitude test) organized by the Institution. Those candidates having good score in CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ MAT/ GRE/ SNAP may choose not to appear for TMAT.

After the application submission, an assessment of application will be done. As per details provided by students in application, they will be further invited for assessment & interview. Candidates will go through professional readiness, academic readiness and academic history respectively in the complete admission procedure.

Thapar University Management Aptitude Test (TMAT) 2024

The University will conduct TMAT (Thapar University Management Aptitude Test) for the candidates applying for MBA but not having any national level test scores. Those who have valid CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ MAT/ GRE/ SNAP scores can choose not to write TMAT 2024.

Only the candidates who will successfully submit their video statement of purpose till 2^nd April 2024 will be eligible for exam. The TMAT will be held online on 6^th April 2024. In Thapar University Management Aptitude Test, there will be questions from various topics of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal ability sections.

Thapar University MBA Merit List 2024

After online application submission, candidates will be shortlisted on 29^th March 2024 based on details furnished by them. After shortlisting of candidates, assessment and interview procedure will be organized.

Computation of merit scores will be done based on applicants scores in the components – A, B & C where A is professional readiness, B is academic readiness and C is academic history. After carrying out all these components, final selected candidates will be intimated on 19^th April 2024 for further participation in admission process.

Thapar University MBA Assessment/ Interview 2024

The interview procedure for MBA admissions in Thapar University 2024 will be held through online / offline modes. Through online mode, it will be held after 4th April 2024.

Further assessment and interview will be done based on video statement submission, interview, performance in entrance exam and academic history (10^th/ 12^th & graduation scores).

Thapar University MBA Counselling 2024

After completing the assessment process and interview, final counselling of the selected candidates will be organized by the University. It will be organised on 30^th April 2024 and students will have to submit their fee. The documents /certificates will be verified during counselling process at the Institute.
