NID Entrance Exam 2025 will be conducted in December 2024 for B.Des & M.Des course. It is a national level entrance exam conducted every year by National Institute of Design (NID). Candidates will be offered admission in Undergraduate & Postgraduate Design courses as B.Des & M.Des course. NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) is conducted in two stages as Prelims & Mains. Candidates who will qualify the exam will get admission in NID, Ahmedabad & its campuses. NID 2025 Application Form
Candidates must check following details regarding NID 2025 Application Form:
- NID 2025 Application Form will be made available via online mode. No other mode will be entertained.
- The registration process for various UG & PG level courses will start in first week of September 2024.
- During registration, do not forget to submit passport size photograph & signature in prescribed format.
- Incomplete or incorrect details in the form will lead to rejection, so make sure all details entered are correct.
- All informative information will send to candidate’s registered ID & number, so it must be valid/ working.
- The last date to submit NID 2025 application form will be till first week of December 2024.
- Once all details are completely filled, do not forget to take printout of filled in form for future use.
Application Fee:
- Candidates will be able to submit NID 2025 Registration fee via online mode.
- Mode of payment includes card/ credit card etc.
- In any case, application fee will be non-refundable.

NID 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check following eligibility norms before applying for NID 2025:
For B.Des:
- Nationality: Indian National citizen will be eligibile to apply.
- Qualification: Candidates who have qualified 12th level examination from any recognised board or university.
- Age Limit: For Indian (general & general EWS category), one must be born on or after 1st July 2004
- For Indian Reserved (OBC-NCL, ST & SC Category), one must be born on or after 1st July 2001
- For PwD Category, one must be born on or after 1st July 1999
- For Foreign in Overseas Category, one must be born on or after 1st July 2004
For M.Des:
- Nationality: Indian National citizen will be eligibile to apply.
- Qualification: Student must be graduated in 4 year duration (OR)
- 4 Year diploma courses in Design/ Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Architecture, after 12th or equivalent to 12th standard from a university or institute recognised by law in India (OR)
- Graduation degree of 3 year duration in any stream.
- Age Limit: For Indian (general & general EWS category), one must be born on or after 1st July 1993
- For Indian Reserved (OBC-NCL, ST & SC Category), one must be born on or after 1st July 1990
- For PwD Category, one must be born on or after 1st July 1988
- For Foreign in Overseas Category, one must be born on or after 1st July 1993
NID 2025 Exam Pattern
Candidates must check following details regarding NID 2025 Exam Pattern:
- Exam Mode: NID Entrance Exam 2025 will be conducted via offline (Pen & Paper Based) mode.
- Duration: Candidates will be given 3 hours to solve the paper.
- Questions Type: Objective & subjective type questions will be asked in paper
- Medium: Questions will be asked in English medium.
- Total marks: Question paper will be of total 100 marks.
NID 2025 Syllabus
NID 2025 syllabus includes various topics from Prelims exam. Some of the topics includes innovation in design, theme development, picture analysis, usage of colours in compositions, presentation techniques, optical illusion, good design vs bad design, creative thinking and writing, story pictures etc. Also, it depend on mock interview, importance of body language, creative thinking, dooling etc.

FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)
NID 2025 Admit Card
NID 2025 Admit Card will be released via online mode. It will be released in January 2025. Exam for the same will be held in January/ February 2025. Candidates will have to enter login credentials to download admit card. It will consists of all details such as candidate’s name, roll number, D.O.B, exam date, time, venue & instructions.
Candidates must make sure to check complete details in the hall ticket as any incorrect information will lead to rejection in candidature. If any found incorrect details, he/ she must immediately contact officials authority.
NID 2025 Answer Key
NID 2025 Answer Key will be made available via online mode. It will be released in the form of PDF. Along with answer key, authority will also release question paper. With the help of answer key, candidates will be also able to assume their marks even before result declaration.
Authority will first release provisional answer key. Candidates will be given an option to make objections against answer key. Once objection period gets over, authority will publish final answer. Students must know that result will be prepared on the basis of final answer key only.
NID 2025 Merit List
NID 2025 Merit List will be released for M.Des DAT Prelims. It will be published few days after examination. Candidates will be able to download it via online mode. Candidates whose name will appear in the merit list will further have to participate in the counselling/ interview.
Merit List will be released separately for different category candidates. students must know that authority will not send any hard copy of merit list/ result to candidates. One may get informed through email or text
NID 2025 Admission
NID 2025 Admission will be given to eligible candidates. Candidates whose name will appear in the merit list will further have to attend counselling process. It will consists of various steps such as registration, fee payment, document verification, seat allotment & then admission.
Admission will be given to candidates after fee payment & document verification purpose. The following documents will be required at the time of verification:
- 10th & 12th marksheets
- Graduation mark sheets/ provisional degree certificats
- Photo ID proof
- Category certificate (if required)
- Migration certificate
- Birth certificate/ proof of date of birth/ school leaving certificate etc.
