NID 2027 Exam Dates – Out (Prelims)
NID 2027 Exam Dates has been announced for DAT Prelims. Exam will be held on 20th December 2026 for B.Des & M.Des courses. Check below to know complete schedule.
NID exam is conducted in two stages, i.e. Preliminary and Mains. After completion of both the exams, the authority is prepared a final merit list. Candidates whose name will be in the merit list eligible for admission in NID campuses.

Pre- Examination Schedule:
The NID 2027 Application Form is made available from 10th September 2026. Last date to fill the application form will be till 30th November 2026. The application form is made available through online mode.
The conducting authority will also provide the facility to review and edit the application form from 1st to 2nd December 2026.
The exam conducting authority will release the NID admit card 2027 through online mode. Admit card will be made available in 10th December 2026 (DAT prelim). It will be released in April 2027 for B.Des Mains and in February 2027 for M.Des Mains.
NID 2027 Examination will be conducted in two stages: preliminary and mains. DAT 2027 prelim exam will be conducted on 20th December 2026. DAT 2027 main exam will be conducted in May 2027 for B.Des. For B.Des, it will be held from April 2027.
University will also release the cut off marks for providing admission in the respective course.
Post-Examination Schedule:
Authority will release the provisional answer key of NID prelim exam for all the set of the question papers. Candidates will also have an option to challenge the answer key through online mode. The final NID answer key for DAT will be released in May 2027.
The NID 2027 Result for prelim exam will be announced in February 2027 for M.Des & declared on April 2027 for B.Des and final result will be declared in May 2027 for M.Des & for B.Des it will be declared in May 2027.
Result will be made available in online mode. Based on score obtained in NID prelim, a separate merit list will be prepared by the authority for each category.
Based on the merit list of prelim exam eligible candidates will be called for NID DAT 2027 Mains. The final merit list will be prepared category-wise based on total sum of weightage score secured by the candidate in prelim and mains exam.
The NID 2027 Counselling will start in the month of June 2027 for B.Des. courses. Candidates with their name in the merit list will be called for counselling as per their rank.
The counselling procedure will be organized through a zoom meeting. Candidates will have to present all specified documents in original and copy for document verification.
