NID 2026 Exam Dates has been released for B.Des & M.Des Courses. It will be held on 21st December 2025. Check below to know complete schedule.
NID exam is conducted in two stages, i.e. Preliminary and Mains. After completion of both the exams, the authority is prepared a final merit list. Candidates whose name will be in the merit list eligible for admission in NID campuses.

NID Exam Schedule 2026

Pre- Examination Schedule:
The NID 2026 Application Form has been made available from 11th September 2025. Last date to fill the application form will be till 1st December 2025. The application form is made available through online mode.
The conducting authority will also provide the facility to review and edit the application form from 2nd to 4th December 2025.
The exam conducting authority will release the NID admit card 2026 through online mode. Admit card will be made available on 11th December 2025 (DAT prelim). It will be released in April 2026 for B.Des Mains and in February 2026 for M.Des Mains.
NID 2026 Examination will be conducted in two stages: preliminary and mains. DAT 2026 prelim exam will be conducted on 21st December 2025. DAT 2026 main exam will be conducted in May 2026 for B.Des. For B.Des, it will be held from April 2026.
University will also release the cut off marks for providing admission in the respective course.
Post-Examination Schedule:
Authority will release the provisional answer key of NID prelim exam for all the set of the question papers. Candidates will also have an option to challenge the answer key through online mode. The final NID answer key for DAT will be released in May 2026.
The NID 2026 Result for prelim exam will be announced on 17th February 2026 for M.Des & declared on 7th April 2026 for B.Des and final result will be declared in May 2026 for M.Des & for B.Des it will be declared in May 2026.
Result will be made available in online mode. Based on score obtained in NID prelim, a separate merit list will be prepared by the authority for each category.
Based on the merit list of prelim exam eligible candidates will be called for NID DAT 2026 Mains. The final merit list will be prepared category-wise based on total sum of weightage score secured by the candidate in prelim and mains exam.
The NID 2026 Counselling will start in the month of June 2026 for B.Des. courses. Candidates with their name in the merit list will be called for counselling as per their rank.
The counselling procedure will be organized through a zoom meeting. Candidates will have to present all specified documents in original and copy for document verification.
