National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a national level entrance exam conducted to provide admission into various Fashion Technology courses. Eligible candidates will be able to get admission into various UG & PG design courses such as B.Des/ B.F.Tech/ M.Des/ M.Des/ M.FM/ M.F.Tech Programmes.

NIFT 2026 Application Form 

Candidates can get complete registration details of NIFT 2026 from below: 

• NIFT 2026 Registration Procedure is starting from the last week of November 2025. 
• NTA will provide the online option to complete the registration process, no other option will be provided. 
• Before proceeding to fill the application form, candidates are suggested to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria below. 
• Details such as personal, educational qualification, communication details must be entered into the application form. 
• After filling the form, upload the documents such as photograph, signature, category certificate, etc in prescribed format. 
• NTA will also provide the facility to edit the submitted application form during the correction window. 
• The last date to submit the application form will be till the first week of January 2026. 
• Reverify the details and do not forget to take a hard copy of the application form for further processing. 

Application Fee: 

• NIFT 2026 application fee will be submitted through online mode. 
• Online facilities such as debit card/ credit card/ net banking will be available to submit the fee. 
• Application fee will be non-refundable under any circumstances.

NIFT 2026 Application Correction 

Correction facility in NIFT 2026 application form will be provided through online mode. After closing the registration window, NTA will start the edit facility on the website. No offline facility will be provided to edit the submitted details. 

During the correction window, particulars in certain specific fields will be edited by the candidates. The window will be opened from the second week of January 2026. Candidates are suggested to edit their mistakes before the deadline, as the edit window will be opened for two to three days only. 

NIFT 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

NIFT 2026 application form can be filled after satisfying the eligibility criteria: 

For B.Des Course: 

• Qualification: To be eligible, candidates must have completed their class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board. 
• Age Criteria: Applying candidates age must be 24 years as on 1st August 2026. For reserved category candidates, upto 5 years of relaxation will be given. 
• Passed Candidates in class 12th level from National Open Schools with minimum of 5 subjects will also be eligible to apply. 
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in class 12th examination will also be considered for admission. 

For B.F. Tech Course: 

• Qualification: Candidates passed in class 12th level or equivalent exam from any recognized board will be eligible to apply for the exam. 
• Age Limit: To apply, the upper age of candidates must be 24 years. 5 years of relaxation will be granted for reserved category candidates. 
• Subjects: Candidates must have Physics & Mathematics as a compulsory subjects in qualifying examination. 

For M.Des/ MFM/ M.F.Tech: 

• Qualification: Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized institutions/ university will be eligible to apply for the exam. 
• Appearing: Those appearing candidates in final year will also be eligible to apply.

Steps to Apply for NIFT 2026 

Here we have provided the complete step-by-step procedure to apply for NIFT 2026 exam: 

• Visit the website of NIFT (Link will be given above). 
• Press the “Click here to apply” link on the homepage. 
• Enter the valid Email ID and Mobile number in the given space to register yourself. 
• After registration, start filling the application form with asked information. 
• Details such as personal, qualifications, communication, address will be required to fill in the application. 
• After filling the form, upload the scanned images such as photograph and signature, category certificate & other documents. 
• Images must be uploaded in prescribed size & format to avoid rejection. 
• After uploading the images, press the “Payment” option to submit the fee. 
• Now submit the application fee as per your category. 
• Press the “Submit” button for final submission. 
• A confirmation page will be displayed on the screen. 
• Recheck the details and do not forget to  take a hardcopy nift registration form.  

NTA will release the NIFT 2026 application form from the last week of November 2025 through online mode. There will be no other offline method provided to submit the form. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the entrance exam. We will also update the direct apply link above in the page.
