TISSNET stands for Tata Institute of Social Sciences- National Entrance Test has various campuses located in Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati & Hyderabad. • TISSNET 2026 application form has been released on 3rd November 2025 through CAT PG.

• Before applying, aspirants are suggested to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria below. 
• During form filling, candidates are required to provide details such as personal, communication, academic qualifications, etc. 
• The authority will also provide the facility to make correction in submitted form from 11th to 13th December 2025 for CAT PG. 
• The deadline to submit the application form will be till 10th December 2025 through CAT PG & first week of February 2026 for CUET PG. 
• After submission of form, do not forget to take a hardcopy of application form for further usage.

How to Apply for TISSNET 2026

• Step-1: Visit the website of TISS (Link is given above). 
• Step-2: On the homepage, press the “Apply Now” button. 
• Step-3: Fill the application form with personal, communication & academic details. 
• Step-4: Upload the required documents in prescribed format & size. 
• Step-5: Recheck the details once before submitting it. 
• Step-6: Now submit the application fee using available payment options. 
• Step-7: Press the “Submit” button & a confirmation page will appear on the screen.

TISSNET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Applying candidates must have completed UG & PG degree of minimum 3 or  years duration or its equivalent (15 years formal education) from a university recognized by UGC India to be eligible. 
• Age Limit: To apply for the TISSNET exam, there is no age limit. 
• Appearing: Those appearing candidates are also eligible to apply by they must have completed their final exam before 30th September 2026. 

TISSNET 2026 Exam Pattern

For CUET PG:

• Mode of Exam: Exam will be conducted through online (CBT) mode. 
• Duration: A total of 2 hours will be given to solve the exam. 
• Medium: Question paper will be available in Hindi & English languages & sanskrit in case of Shiksha Shastri & Shiksha Acharya. 
• Total Questions: 100 questions will be asked in each paper. 
• Type of Questions: Objective type Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the exam. 
• Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 4 marks will be provided to the candidates. 
• Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 

For CAT Exam: 

• Exam Mode: TISSNET 2026 Exam will be held through online (CBT) mode. 
• Duration: Total 160 minutes for PwD category and 120 minutes for other candidates will be given to solve the exam. 
• Type of Questions: In exam, Objective & subjective questions will be asked. 
• Number of sections: There will be three sections in the question paper. 
• Total Questions: Total 66 questions will be asked in the exam. 
• Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 3 marks will be given & 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

TISSNET 2026 Admit Card 

TISSNET 2026 admit card will be released in the first week of March 2026 for CUET PG. Candidates will be able to download the admit card through online mode, no offline method will be available. 

To access the admit card, candidates need to enter their login credentials such as email ID & password on the website. Details such as name, roll number, exam date, time, reporting time & exam day instructions will be mentioned in the admit card. 

TISSNET 2026 Answer Key 

The authority will release the TISSNET 2026 answer key through online mode. After completing the entrance exam, the answer key will be released. The provisional answer key for CUET PG 2026 will be released in April 2026. 

Candidates will also be able to raise objections against the answer key in case of any doubts. After analyzing all raised objections, the authority will publish the final answer key through online mode. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to predict their estimated scores in examinations. 

TISSNET 2026 Result 

Result for TISSNET 2026 will be announced via online mode. CAT PG result will be announced in the form of a merit list. Merit List will be released on 20th April 2026 through CAT PG. CUET PG 2026 result will be released in May 2026 via online mode. 

To access the result, candidates will have to visit the website & enter the login credentials. Result will be released separately for each candidate in the form of a scorecard. Candidates are advised to keep the hard copy of the result safe for further usage in admission. 

TISSNET 2026 Cut Off 

The authority will publish the TISSNET 2026 cut off through online mode. After the completion of the entrance exam, the cut off will be released on the website. Candidates who have secured qualifying cut off marks will be selected for further admission rounds.

There will be numerous factors for determining cut off marks such as number of appearing candidates, number of seats available, difficulty level of exam, number of candidates meeting qualifying cut off marks, etc. 

TISSNET 2026 Admission Procedure 

TISSNET 2026 Admission Procedure will be organized based on CUET PG or CAT PG scores. Those qualified candidates in exam will be invited to participate in counselling procedure. After the declaration of result on the website, authority will send the invite to the candidates. Counselling for CUET PG qualified candidates will be organized from May 2026 via online mode.

There will be major two steps in the admission procedure i.e Programme Aptitude Test (TISS-PAT) and an Online Personal Interview (OPI). Final admission will be based on combined performance national entrance exam scores, PAT and OCI rounds.
