AILET 2026 Update: The AILET 2026 examination was conducted along with the CLAT 2026 examination. Both exams were being conducted on 07th December 2025.

To avoid a clash between the two important law entrance exams for aspirants, National Law University of Delhi has revised the AILET 2026 schedule.

On 22nd July 2025, a notice is released by the NLU Delhi informing candidates of the changes in the AILET 2026 exam and registration dates. Notice is released at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in

When Is AILET 2026?

The All India Law Entrance Test, AILET 2026 examination, which was previously going to be held on 07th December 2025, will be held on 14th December 2025. It will be held on Sunday in a single shift from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM.

Notification and AILET 2026 registration form will be released on 07th August 2025. Candidates will be allowed to submit the registration till 10th November 2025. Shortly, detailed notification for the upcoming AILET examination will be released at the NLU Delhi official website.

Note: The CLAT 2026 exam date is not changed. It will be held on 07th December 2025. 

The notice also reads that the University will conduct the All-India Entrance Test (AIET)for the following on 3rd May 2026.

  • Postgraduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP) – Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Laws (LL.M.)
  • Joint Master’s/LL.M. Programme in Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Management
  • Ph.D. Programme

The detailed AIET 2026 notification will be issued in January 2026, and online application forms for these programmes will be available from January 7, 2026.
