Doon University, Dehradun

The Doon University was established in the year of 2005 by the Government of Uttarakhand through Doon University Act, 2005 (Uttaranchal Adhiniyam Sankhaya 18 of 2005). It was recognized under 12 (B) of UGC Act. It is a state public University. The first academic session of university was started from July 2009.

Campus

The campus is located on Mothrowala Road, Kedarpur, Ajabpur Post Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The University is spread in 52.35 acres of land that is situated in the luxuriant green foothills of Shivalik range about 8 km from Dehradun city. It is a residential University. It has a beautiful campus with a state-of-art infrastructure, eye-catching architecture and a calming environment. The University has a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus.

Facilities

The University has a Central Library with a well-balanced gathering of books, e-journals, print journals and e-resources. There is a more than 8000 documents such as reference books, yearbooks, textbooks, reports and case studies. With the help of windows based LIBSYS Software, the library work is handled. There is a separate hostel for women and men with all the latest facilities. The University gives Banking facility with ATM, health care center, gym, cafeteria and classrooms. There is also a facility of extracurricular activities, Cultural activities, Games and Sports.

Programmes

The Doon University offers the two-year full-time PG degree programme Master of Business Management (2 Years), and Integrated Master of Business Administration (5 Years). It also conducted Ph.D Programme in Management. Some of the specialization is given below.
