Admission Procedure
Candidates those seeking admission in the Bangalore city have to appear in the entrance exam. Through entrance exam, the state admission authority provides the admission in the engineering courses. The admissions are offered on the basis of candidate’s rank obtained in the exam. Some universities conducted its own examination for admissions.
Students must also apply for admission on the basis of merit list of the qualifying examination. Seats are allotted to candidates on the basis of rank in the merit list, filled choices and availability of seats in colleges. After seat allocation, candidates have to report to the allotted college to complete admission process.
Entrance Exams
Candidates can appear in the JEE Main national level entrance exam to get admission in the engineering course. The state authority also conduct the state level entrance exam by the name of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). The exam is organized by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. The admissions in the B.Tech courses are also offered through COMEDK UGET. For admission in M.Tech programmes candidates must have the valid GATE score card.

- Candidate must be the India citizen.

Selection Procedure
The counselling is conducted either online or offline mode depending upon the exam conducting authority. Candidates have to register for the counselling in the respective website of entrance exam. The counselling procedure comprises of document verification, filing of course and college preference and seat allotment. At the time of counselling, candidates have to verify their documents, fill their choice of courses & colleges and payment of the counselling fee.
After successful completion of the counselling, the seats are allotted to the candidates according to their ranks in the merit list and availability of seats. After seat allotment, candidates have to report the allotted college to complete the admission formalities.
