Goa B.Tech 2026 Admission Procedure
The admission in the state colleges of Goa will be given on the basis of various entrance exams. Most of the universities conduct their own entrance exam for offering admissions in its offered Engineering courses and its specialisations. On appearing in the entrance exam, candidates will get admission in the top institutions of the Goa state.
Entrance Exam
Candidates will be able to appear in any of the entrance exams to get admission in the B.Tech and B.Arch courses offered in the state. The admissions will be offered through the national level JEE Main 2026 entrance exam for B.Tech and B.Arch courses.
JEE Main exam is conducted at national level by the NTA (National Testing Agency). It is conducted in various sessions every year. Students will have to apply for this exam through online mode.
The state level entrance exam is also conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa for engineering courses by the name of GCET 2026. Candidates may also appear in BITSAT 2026 for admission in BITS Pilani, Goa. For M.Tech courses, candidates must have to appear in national level GATE 2026 entrance exam.

B.Tech Admission 2026
Candidates are advised to go through these given eligibility criteria to appear in the entrance exam:
- Applying candidate must belong to the Indian national.
- Candidates should score 45% marks and above in their qualifying exam.
- There will be no age limit criteria to apply for the JEE Main exam.
- Candidates should pass with a PCM combination of subjects along with English.
- Candidates must pass the qualifying exam from the recognized board.
- Appearing candidates will also be allowed to apply.
Selection Procedure
The seats in the engineering colleges of Goa will be provided on the basis of rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam and availability of seats. Candidates will be called for the B.Tech counselling on the basis of merit list prepared by the concerned authority.
The counselling will be conducted by various institutions separately. The admission procedure will be followed by the online registration, fill courses & college choices, reporting in the allotted college and payment of admission fee. After issuing a seat allotment letter, the candidate will have to report to the allotted institution and get admission.
