Admission Procedure
Admission in B.Tech courses is done on the basis of JEE Main 2026 scores. Only national level entrance test is considered for providing admission.
There is not any entrance test organised at state level for admission in Engineering programmes. Admission can be done through merit of the qualifying exam.
Entrance Exams
Students are able to appear in the JEE Main 2026 examination to get admission in B.Tech courses. NTA organizes JEE Main entrance examination in two sessions (January & April) every year.
JEE Main is a national level entrance exam which is conducted for admission in B.Tech & B.Arch courses in India. Admission in M.Tech courses is done through GATE 2026 exam.

B.Tech Admission 2026
Candidates are able to apply for admission in B.Tech through the JEE Main exam. Candidates must review their eligibility before applying. The eligibility criteria for JEE Main exam is mention below:
- Candidates should have passed or appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent exam with PCM subjects.
- Diploma holders are also eligible to apply.
- Students must have cleared the 12th exams in the year 2024, 2025 and appearing in 2026.
- There is no age limit criteria to apply for JEE Main exam.
Selection Procedure
For admission in B.Tech course, candidates are able to apply through entrance exam or through the merit list of the qualifying exam. Separate merit list or cut-off is released by various colleges for providing admission.
On the basis of merit, students can appear for the counselling. During counselling, candidates have to pay the counselling fee and fill their preferences.
On the basis of filled choices, rank & seat availability, seats has been allotted to the candidates. For admission in NIT, candidates have to participate in the JoSAA counselling.

During the admission process, students have to go through the document verification process. Candidates have to bring their original documents along with the photocopies for verification. Below we have listed the documents needed at the time of verification:
