Combined Defence Services (CDS) is National level entrance exam conducted by UPSC to assessing for positions in Indian Army, Indian Air Force, & Indian Navy. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conduct CDS exam in two divisions, Paper I and Paper II. Before applying for exam, candidates must fulfill complete eligibility criteria.

CDS 2025 Application Form

Complete details related to CDS 2025 application form are as mentioned below:

• For CDS I 2025, the application form was released on 11th December 2024.
• There is only online facility available to submit registration form, no other mode is accepted.
• CDS 2025 application form for Paper II is available from 28th May to 17th June 2025 on UPSC website.
• Candidates are advised to complete registration procedure before the last date, as there might be no extension period.
• While applying, firstly, candidates have to register themselves on the website.
• After registration, start filling application form with details such as name, personal details, academic qualification, etc.
• Photo ID such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter Card, Driving License, Passport, School Photo Id, or any other photo ID will be required while filling form.
• Candidates must enter the correct/ valid details in form and re-check it before submission to avoid rejection.
• Take a hardcopy of form and keep it safe for further usage in admission procedure.

Application Fee:

• Application fees can be submitted through online mode.
• Credit card, debit card, net banking & UPI, Visa, Master, Rupay is the online facility to submit application fee.
• Application fee is not refunded once submitted.

CDS 2025 Application Correction

Candidates are suggested to fill application form carefully, as the authority may not provide the correction later. CDS application correction facility may be provided through online mode. Registered candidates will be able to make corrections in form during edit window from June 2025.

Login credentials such as application number and date of birth are required to edit application form. This facility is available for limited period of time only. After closing the window, the UPSC will remove the correction link from the website.

CDS 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Here are the complete CDS 2025 eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled by candidates:

• Nationality: Candidates must be unmarried and citizens of India, subjects of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries with intention to permanently settle in India.
• Qualification: Applying candidates for IMA, INA must have bachelor’s degree from recognized university/ college.
• For Air Force Academy exam, Candidates must have bachelor’s degree from any recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• For OTA (Men, Women – Non- Technical), candidates must have bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent institute.
• Physical Fitness: To apply for exam, candidates must be physically fit in all aspects by the three defence departments.
• Appearing: Those final year/semester degree appearing candidates and yet to pass final year degree will also be eligible.

How to Register for CDS 2025

Here is the step by step procedure to complete CDS 2025 application form:

• Visit the website of UPSC CDS (Link is given above).
• Press “creat a account” link on the homepage.
• To start with the process, press “One Time Registration (OTR)” button.
• Register using basic information such as name, personal details, etc.
• An OTP will be sent to registered mobile number for verification.
• Enter received OTP and start filling application form.
• In application form, candidates will have to enter details such as personal, communicational, academic qualification, etc.
• Recheck the details and press “Submit & Proceed” button.
• Upload requisite documents such as Photograph and Signature in prescribed format.
• Complete the application process by submitting prescribed amount of application fee as per the category.
• Re-check filled details in form and submit it on the website.
• Press “Submit” button and proceed further.
• A confirmation page will appear on the screen.
• Do not forget to take a hardcopy of form and keep it safe for further usage in admission.
