GATE Exam Update: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has recently revised the dates for the upcoming Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering examination.
GATE 2026 registration, which was to start on 25th August 2025, has been postponed for 03 days. According to the revised GATE schedule, the application form will be released on August 28, 2025.
The GATE exam update is being made available on the official website, that is gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates note examination date is the same, only the application schedule is revised for GATE 2026.

All the candidates who are interested in applying are required to meet the GATE eligibility criteria to fill out the application form. Candidates will be able to apply through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
On the homepage of the official website for GATE, an option for the application portal is availabe. Once the GATE registration starts, the GOAPS link will be accessible.
Candidates whose application forms will be accepted by the authority will be eligible to take the GATE 2026 examination, which will take place on 07, 08, 14, and 15 February 2026. The mode of examination will be computer-based (CBT).
