IIST 2019 Seat Allotment for UG & PG courses has been released. IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) is an autonomous institutions which offers education in the field of space sciences, space technology and space applications. IIST did not organize any entrance test to offer admission in UG, PG and other courses. Students will get admission on the basis of JEE Advanced, GATE, JEST or UGC NET examinations. IIST Rank List 2019
The rank list has been published through online mode. IIST result (rank list) has been released on 14th May 2019 for PG courses and on 19th June 2019 for UG courses.
The merit list is prepared as per the marks scored in the JEE advanced 2019 exam for UG courses. For PG courses, the list is prepared on the basis of GATE, JEST or UGC NET exam.
IIST Cut Off 2019
Students will be able to check the IIST cut off through the website. IIST will release two types of cut off, i.e. eligibility cut off and admission cut off.
Firstly, candidates have to achieve marks as per the cut off released on the basis of entrance test. After that, admission cut off will be published on the basis of rank, category, performance in interview/admission, availability of seats, etc.
IIST Counselling 2019
The counselling process will be organized through offline mode. Here we are providing the IIST admission procedure for UG and PG courses:
For UG Courses:
For admission in UG courses, a rank list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the JEE Advanced exam. It will be prepared only for those candidates who have registered online and satisfy the eligibility criteria. Candidates have to report to the counselling centre to appear in the counselling process.
For PG Courses:
Firstly, candidates have to register online for admission. Students will be selected for admission rounds on the basis of marks scored in GATE, JEST or UGC NET examination. After that, students have to qualify the interview or any other admission round organized by IIST. The interview was held from 27th – 31st May 2019.
IIST 2020 Admission
IIST Admission is organized by Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. Admission is offered into UG and PG courses in various fields. No entrance exam is organized by the Institute and the admission is provided on the basis of scores of national level exams – JEE Main, JEE Advance, GATE, JEST, UGC NET etc.

IIST Application Form 2019
- The application form has been issued only through online mode.
- IIST registration 2019 has been started from 12th April (for PG courses) and for UG courses, it has begin from 3rd June.
- Candidates are required to fill their personal, qualification, communication and other required details in the application form.
- Candidates must upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, caste certificate or medical certificate (if applicable).
- Candidates should take a printout of the application form for further use.
Application Fee:
- Students can pay the application fee via online mode through SBI collect.
- The application fee will be non-refundable.

IIST Eligibility Criteria
Students must check their eligibility given below before filling the application form:
Eligibility for UG Courses (B.Tech):
- Candidates must be an Indian Nationals.
- Students must have born on or after 1st October 1994 (for general & OBC) and 1st October 1989 (for reserved categories).
- Candidates should have passed 12th or equivalent exam with PCM subjects from any recognized board.
- In the qualifying exam, students should have obtained at least 75% (65% marks for reserved categories).
- Candidates also have qualified the JEE Main & JEE Advanced 2019 examination.
Eligibility for PG Courses:
- Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
- The maximum age limit is 32 years as on 30th April 2019 for general candidates. For SC/ST and PD candidates age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India orders.
- Candidates must have qualified BE, B.Tech, MS, M.Sc. or equivalent degree.
- Candidates should have secured minimum 60% marks or 6.50 CGPA out of 10 (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA out of 10 for reserved categories).
- Valid score card of GATE/JEST/UGC NET exam in the relevant field.
