Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is an institute which organises an admission procedure at national level. IIST 2025 Application Form

Following are some general instructions related to IIST Application Form 2025:

• The IIST 2025 Application form of both UG and PG courses will be made available through online mode.
• The application form for UG courses will be released in third week of June 2025 and for PG courses in first week of April 2025.
• Candidates will have to generate registration number for login purposes by providing details like name, email IdD, phone number etc.
• The application form will be filled with details like personal, qualifications and address details.
• Candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature in application form in prescribed format.
• Registration form will be filed by candidates till fourth week of June 2025 for UG courses and first week of May 2025 for PG  courses.
• Candidates must ensure to retain a copy of filled application form with them for future uses.

Application Fee:

• Application fee of IIST 2025 will be deposited only through online mode.
• Payment  will be made using debit card/credit card/ net banking and other online gateways.
• Fees submitted by candidates will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

How to Apply for IIST 2025 

Follow the listed steps to apply for IIST 2025:

• Step-1: Visit the online application portal (link will be given above).
• Step-2: Select the Undergraduate or Postgraduate option and click on “New Registration” tab.
• Step-3: Complete the registration process by filling the required details.
• Step-4: Candidates will be given a system Generated IIST registration number
• Step-5: Login to the website and fill the application form carefully with details like personal or qualification.
• Step-6: Now, Click on “Pay Registration Fee” button and deposit the online fee.
• Step-7: At last, take a printout of filled application form and fee receipt for future needs.

IIST 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the registration form, candidates must check the IIST Eligibility Criteria 2025:

UG Courses:

• Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen. OCI/PIO card holders will also be eligible.
• Age Limit: The candidates must be born on or after 1st October 2000 to be eligible to apply. There will be a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to reserved category. 
• Qualification: Candidates must have completed 12th level or its equivalent examination from any recognised board.
• Marks Criteria: One must achieve a minimum of 75% marks (65% in case of reserved category) in the qualifying exam to be eligible to apply.
• Subjects: It is mandatory to pass 12th level with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with any one language subject.
• Mandatory Exams: Applying candidates must have a valid scorecard of JEE Advance 2025 exam to apply for admission.

PG Courses:

• Age Limit: The age of candidates must o be more than 32 years as on 2nd May 2025 for regular candidates and 45 years for ISRO/DOS sponsored candidates. 
• Qualification:  One must have completed BE/ B.Tech /M.Sc or equivalent degree from any recognised university.
• Marks Criteria: A minimum of 60% marks for General/EWS & OBC category and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST & PwD category  must be secured by candidates in qualifying degree.
• Mandatory Exam: It is mandatory for candidates to produce a valid scorecard of JEST/GATE 2025 exam.

IIST 2025 Rank List

The admission rank list of IIST 2025 will be prepared category-wise, separately for different category candidates. Only those candidates who have successfully registered online and paid registration fee will be listed in IIST Rank List 2025. Candidates will be able to check their names in rank list via online mode from the website.

The IIST 2025 Rank list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored by candidates in national level examination subject to satisfying the minimum qualifying marks. The rank list for UG courses will be published in fourth week of June 2025 and for PG courses in third week of May 2025.

IIST 2025 Cut Off

Cut off of IIST 2025 will be released by authority via online mode after the declaration of result. The cut off will be a set of minimum marks that candidates will have to obtain in order to be eligible for admission in IIST 2025.

IIST Cut Off 2025 is decided based on numerous factors such as number of candidates applied, total number of seats available, reservation criteria, national level scores etc. based on cut off marks, candidates will be invited for IIST 2025 counselling rounds.

Following are the seat reservation criteria of IIST 2025:

IIST 2025 Counselling

The IIST Counselling 2025 will be organised by the authority for only those candidates who have been listed in rank list.  The counselling process will  be organised in first week of July 2025 for UG courses and third week of May 2025 for PG courses. 

After the release of IIST 2025 rank list, candidates will be required to fill in their choices of branch in order of preferences. The listed candidates will have to report at the allotted institutes to participate in IIST 2025 counselling procedure. Based on the vacancies of seats, seat allocation for three branches will be done in order of merit of references filled by candidates. 

Those candidates who have allotted seats will have to confirm the same by submitting the prescribed admission fee and produce their original and self-attested photocopies of necessary documents for verification at the time of joining.
