The reason behind the delay in releasing the result is due to a Calcutta High Court stay on West Bengal’s updated OBC list, which added 76 new castes. This legal issue created uncertainty over reservation categories, prompting WBJEEB to hold the result until the matter is resolved. The stay is effective till July 31, after which results are expected to be announced in early August”.
