JNU Admission 2020 Answer Key

After successfully completion of the exams, the board has released the JNU Answer key for various programmes. It has been made available through online mode.

JNU 2020 Answer key has been released online only for the objective type of question papers and not for the subjective type of questions. A link has been provided on the website for downloading the answer key.

Students can calculate their marks scored in the entrance test with the help of Answer key.

JNU Admission 2020 Result

JNU Admission 2020 Result has been released on 24th November 2020. Students can check their JNU result by online mode. The published result has been mention with the qualifying rank and marks obtained in the entrance test. Result for UG course has been declared on 27th November 2020.

To download the result, students have to enter their registration number/application number. Candidates after qualifying the test have to register for further admission procedure.

JNU Admission 2020 Cut Off

JNU Admission 2020 Cut Off has been released through online mode after the declaration of results. The cut off has been released for various programmes and various categories separately.

JNU cut off marks is prepared on the basis of various factors like total number of appearing candidates, highest and lowest marks secured by the students in the entrance test, difficulty level of the exam, etc.

Students successfully obtaining the qualifying marks are considered eligible for further admission process.

JNU Admission 2020 Counselling

JNU Admission Counselling for admission into various programmes will start from the month of January 2021. Students who will qualify the entrance test will be selected in the merit list and then called for JNU counselling/admission as per merit order.

JNU Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria

JNU Admission Eligibility Criteria 2020 vary for various programmes offered by the University:

Nationality

  • Both Indian and Foreign National candidates are eligible to apply.

Age Criteria

  • The minimum age limit is 17 years as on 1 October 2020 for BA (Hons.) 1st year programme. There is no age bar for any other programme.

For UG Courses:

For B.A (Hons.) 1st year

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed the senior school certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Qualifying Marks: Applying candidate must have passed 10+2 level with minimum of 45% marks.
  • Appearing: Candidates who are appearing for their qualifying exam can also apply.

For B.A (Hons.) 2nd year

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have completed their 1st year of Bachelors degree or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.
  • Qualifying Marks: Applying candidate must have passed 10+2 level with minimum of 45% marks.
  • Proficiency: Candidate should have adequate proficiency in the concerned language.

For PG Courses:

For MCA Programme

  • Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate must have done 10+2 level exams or Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/ BCA) with Mathematics from a recognized board or university.
  • Qualifying Marks: Applying candidate must have obtained minimum of 55% marks.

For MA Programme

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have done Bachelors degree in any stream under the pattern of 10+2+3.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidate must have obtained minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

For M.Tech (Statistical Computing)

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have done Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research or any other Science branch OR completed his/her Bachelors degree in any branch of Engineering OR MCA from a recognised board or University
  • Qualifying Marks: He/she must have obtained minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

JNU 2020 Admit Card

JNUEE 2020 Admit Card has been released on 24th September 2020. Candidates are able to download the admit card by online mode. To download it, students are required to enter their application number and password. No admit card is send by the University through post or mail.

JNU Admit card is a mandatory document which has to be carried by the students on the day of examination. No student are allowed to enter into the exam hall without showing their admit card along with a valid photo id proof.

JNU Admission 2020 Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern will vary for various courses. Candidates can check the pattern from below:

  • Exam Mode: The examination will be organized through online mode.
  • Exam Duration: The duration of exam will be three hours (180 minutes).
  • Sessions: There will be two sessions, i.e. First session – 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM & Second session – 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
  • Type & Number of Question: 100 Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Medium: The medium of paper will be English language.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking for wrong answers.

For B.A (Hons.) 1st year (Foreign Language)

  • Exam Mode: The exam will be held in Online CBT mode.
  • Type of Questions: The paper will consist of multiple choice questions.
  • Language Medium: The language medium of the paper will be English.

For B.A (Hons.) 2nd year (Foreign Language)

  • Language Medium: The exam paper will be set in respective foreign language.
  • Type of Questions: The exam paper will contain multiple choice questions.
  • Topics: The question paper will include questions from various topics from literature, basic knowledge and applied grammar, civilization of the country concerned and familiarity with the culture etc.

For MA (Economics) Programme

  • Type of Questions: The paper will consist of objective type of questions.
  • Parts: There will be two parts in the question paper – Part A and Part B. Part A will contain objective type of questions and Part B will contain short and long questions.

For M.Tech (Statistical Computing)

  • Number of Questions: The question paper will contain total of 100 questions.
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will contain multiple choice questions.
  • Parts: The question paper will be divided into two parts – Part A and Part B.

For M.Tech (Computer Science and Technology)

  • Type of Questions: The question paper will contain multiple choice questions.
  • Number of Questions: There will be total of 100 MCQs in the paper.

JNU Admission 2020 Syllabus

JNU Admission 2020 Syllabus has been released with the prospectus of the exam.

The syllabus of the exam vary as per the courses chosen by the applicants. For admission into UG Programmes, the Syllabus include various topics from 11th & 12th level.

For the PG courses, candidates are required to prepare the core subjects from the graduation.
