Thapar University counselling process is organized after the results declaration and release of merit list. The counselling process is conducting through online mode. Candidates must check the complete details of counselling process from the University portal.
Only those candidates are able for the counselling process who will successfully obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written test. At the time of counselling, candidates must be present at the allotted venue within the time period prescribed.

Thapar University 2020 Merit List
After the declaration of Thapar University 2020 Results, the University will release merit list on the website. The merit list contains names of the candidates who have successfully qualified the written test with the minimum qualifying marks.
The University has published the merit list on the website. Candidates whose name will successfully appear in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
Thapar University 2020 Counselling Procedure
The counselling process of Thapar University 2020 has been started for LEET from 5th August 2020 for UG. For the candidates applying admission through National level entrance scores, the counselling process is organised for them separately.
The counselling process is organised through online mode for various programmes. Candidates at the time of counselling process are allotted seats and their documents will be verified. Seat will be allocated on the basis of course preference and merit order. In case any seat remains vacant the seat will be offered to the candidate as per the merit order.
During counselling process, candidates must be present with all the necessary documents for document verification. Candidates must bring their original as well as photocopies of their documents/testimonials. The documents to be brought during the counselling process will be:
- 10th Mark sheet and Pass certificate
- 12th Mark sheet and Pass certificate
- Admit card of entrance exam
- Rank card
- Scorecard
- Category certificate
- Character certificate
- Migration certificate
- Medical fitness certificate
- Income certificate
- Several passport size photographs
- Any Photo id Proof etc.
Thapar University 2020 Admission
Admission into Thapar University 2020 will be provided on the basis of university level entrance exams or through national level entrance scores.
For admission into various programmes, the first preference will be given to the candidates qualifying the national level exams.
